@ChaoticOrange

Just want to point out last nite there was a play identical to the Hanafin goal in Vegas.

Drai went low and tried to hit the trailing dman. However, Bortuzzo came across to cover, read the play( but, but, but....you said hockey was fast), and he dove forward and stopped the pass.

Same play, except you said when happened to Bouchard, it wasn't his fault lol

Oh, how bout that 3rd goal. Not his fault either I guess?

At the end of the day the team is driven by its offense. We are 12-1-1 when we score 3 or more goals. 3 goals is not an even a crazy high number. Glad to see Nuge get that big one. We need him, Hyman, Skinner, Arvidsson they all need to get healthy and get going.

Just saw the highlights and correct me if I'm wrong for those who watched the game but it looked like the Oilers got pummeled. Just about every highlight was Utah prime scoring chances and Pickard made a ton of huge saves. Something about this team coming out of long breaks....
Better be ready for Colorado tonight or it could be a long one for the Oilers.

First period they got pummeled. Second period they still had the possession numbers but I felt scoring chances were close and we buried one 5 on 5 then went nuts on the pp. third period was pretty close I thought we controlled possession more but scoring chances were close. Overall it was a close game no one got pummelled.

Pretty sure I saw this photo on a milk carton. His wife and parents will be relieved that he's been located.

Utah had them pretty good in the first period but they settled down after that. Pickard was solid and made a couple outstanding saves. I wouldn't be surprised if we beat Colorado tonight. They also played last night and haven't been playing very well, along with some injuries. Plus their own goaltending has been shyte.

First of all - You're aware this is literally not true, right? He's done this 7 times in 15 starts.

View attachment 937756

Secondly - even if that was true - man that's a strange way to say Skinner only meets minimum acceptable standards half the time.

In those 7 games btw, we're 5-2-0. Add that to Pickard's record of 5-1-0 when he's above .900, and the Oilers are 10-3-0 when they get goaltending starting with a 9. That's a .769 points percentage, which would put us #1 in the league.

This also means we're 2-6-2 in 10 games getting below .900 save percentage, which is a .300 points percentage, and would put us last in the league by over 25%.

Stan - for the love of God get us a goaltender.
Lol he’s just working the numbers to somehow show Skinner in a positive light. Just happens to start right after him going 3 games in a row below 864.

So I know it doesn't mean anything but who picks these 3 stars. In what universe was McD or Nuge or even Pickard better than Drai tonight. He led on the ice and in the room apparently rallying the troops. He gets a goal and an assist, as much as anybody, and unlike McD wasn't responsible or on the ice for 3GA. McD star by acclimation. Nuge gets a star for being invisible most of 60mins. (yes I love the OT goal but...)

Did think Pickard rallied after we were down and that save in the third, Skinner just doesn't get to that save. Even on what I felt was an ordinary Pickard night he's posting up better stats than the starter, and continuing to.

I would have had any order of Podz, Pickard, and Draisaitl for the 3 stars. With goal of the night going to RNH

I wouldn’t say they got pummeled but it was a bad first period. Flat. But got better as it went. They aren’t typically going to get a 3:1 advantage on special teams so they were lucky. But this team needs to get back to a deadly PP because it is literally their identity.

Some interesting barometers on our goaltending. Pickard has only had 8 starts but in 5 of them has allowed less than 3GA. Skinner has started 15 but has only had less than 3GA 4X. Conversely Skinner with 4 instances of 4 or more goals and Pickard only one.

The last one is obvious. There is now a .73GAA disparity, thats 3/4 of a goal more per game Skinner giving up. The disparity is actually increasing.

They did not play well against a bottom feeder team. They got goaltending though and the players that should score did. Take 2 points and get on the plane to somewhere where they have something more than “near beer”.

Not sure why people continue to moan about ads on their browser. It’s been posted numerous times that Brave browser with its proprietary ad blocker, fixes that problem.
Can't speak for others but I need a new computer. This piece of shit that I have has lasted a long time but whatever addons and browsers you have it wants to be running all of them in background all the time. So that to preserve my RAM I have to manually close browsers not in use. yeah I should just get a new computer. I generally hate having to load everything on a new computer. Then get the printer, router, all other devices to work etc. Its basically a day it takes me to do that shit. One of my current browsers works fine here so I'm just dragging on. 2025 I'll get a new computer. Microsoft won't be supporting this one anymore. lol

Either I get a new computer or its back to the stone age.

Last night reminded me of last year, sleep walk thru the 1st period, score a couple PP goals in the 2nd and win it in OT….only difference is, it was usually McDrai winning it.
