Kadri makes 1M less, has more goals and points this season, and most importantly, showed last season that he can produce on his new team (75 points in 82 games).

Stamkos has yet to prove he can produce on his new team.

Kadri has the "better" contract given his performance on the Flames vs Stamkos' performance on the Predators.

The likely reason he isn’t is because stammer wanted as much money as possible and found a sucker in trotz. Rookie move trotzy. Over the hill and overpaid stars don’t lead to playoff success, I promise.

Definitely Kadri

I still think Stamkos bounces back. It's only been ~20 games, and all of the team is struggling. Can definitely still turn it around

Stamkos is worse for sure, Kadri is still a much better 5 on 5 player and his 75 point season on a bad flames team last year got largely unnoticed. I thought Calgary should’ve taken advantage of any value he would’ve had after last season because he was unlikely to repeat that kind of production this year. Stamkos obviously had a solid 40 goal 80 point season last year but having 100 assist Kuch feeding him on the pp was very different than what Kadri was dealing with in Calgary.
