Not sure why the Red Sox would trade any assets to acquire an okay to bad 34 year old OF. They’ve been playing infielders in RF so unless it’s to stop subjecting them to that, this doesn’t make any sense.

So you trade Vazquez, who has actually decent numbers on the year and really good numbers for a catcher (.262/.327/.432, 759 OPS,108 OPS+) and replace him with friggn Reese McGuire? And then apparently trade for Tommy Pham?

I uh..sure, i guess? You do you, Boston. I know Reese is better on the defensive side of the game but that's a pretty steep downgrade for your overall lineup that doesn't seem worth it.
