With Edmundson out for a little while......There's only Matheson, Savard and Wideman as regular NHLer.
And I even stretched it to include Wideman as a regular NHLer.

We need 3 more.....
Good thing, we have of whole bunch of them.

No matter who are those 3, it will probably be a nightmare but you put your money on which horses?

Harris, guhle, barron…

Guhle would have been able to compete in the AHL last year. Imo, we are gonna be impressive about what he is showing in the NHL. I thought, he was going in the AHL, but if Edmundson is out. He could starts here

You know, really we kind of need 4 more lol, as we should have 7 D regardless of how many dress in a game

This was a tough one, as im sure we'd all like to say Guhle but i think he starts AHL no matter what, but will see NHL action at some point

I voted Harris, Shueneman and Barron, which im fairly certain itll be those guys for various age/experience reasons (plus marty kinda likes Corey), and like i said we really need 4, so i went with, sigh, Leskinen lol, as much as i wanted to say Xhekaj for that one, im also fairly certain they want him starting AHL even if he is already 21

but man, yeah, that D may very well assure a good draft pick lol

I went with Barron, Harris and… maybe Bowey for the third available position, maybe. I don’t know him a lot tbh, but that would be my guess this early in the camp. It is really open to all though. I can’t wait to see Guhle in the NHL, but… well I can probably wait actually. I’d love to see Laval win it all this year with Guhle on the team. I suppose he could be sent down later on to help the Rocket, but let’s try to avoid the yo-yo please.

But Hugues said they won't start the season with 3 young prospect at the same time.....but I admit that things have changed with the Edmundson news.

Yeah with Edmundson injury its something else imo. It will just be tough to scratch Guhle, wich I expect much more better than Schunueman.

I think Guhle only stays in Montreal if he clearly claims the 2nd pairing LD spot, which I wouldn't rule out...

But going into camp I'd assume Harris, Barron and Schuneman are the favorites, with a waiver claim or trade bringing it to 7 players.

I'll be surprised if one of the forward ufas (or Armia/Hoffman) isn't moved before opening day in a lateral swap with a team D heavy that identifies a need at forward (Ducks, Flames, Jets, Avs, Kings, Oilers... A lot of West teams could fit that bill pending how pto & preseason injuries playout)

I think Guhle is better than all of them

I thought Barron looked real good in rookie camp. Harris near lock after his play with Habs last year. Guhle be my next guess. Unless he has bad camp or something. A year in Laval not bad for D. Keep his rights year longer
