In your head
I don’t get it. The past few years we’ve heard about how he’s he works and what a positive attitude he is on the ice and after one offseason he’s now a floater? It doesn’t make any sense. Is it the contract that’s made him complacent?

Every prospect we draft, at first, we read that he's a gym rat, that he's not like the last one, who had a bad attitude, this one is the right one... One day, he becomes a floater with a bad attitude. Galchenyuk, KK and now Slaf.

You can’t send Slaf to the AHL because what if he sucks there and shows he still needs work.

Can’t have him end the season as an AHL player when he’s making a fortune next season

Didn't we pass on Shane Wright because he's too passive? Slafkovsky is even worse for that these days.
At least Shane Wright seems angry and vindictive and a guy who will play as stubbornly as possible to succeed. Juraj is more of a gosh golly gee whizz type of passive player who needs constant prodding to deliver an average level of play

Can Slaf be an Armia in the making?

Slaf would be one hell of a player if he had Gallagher’s heart or work ethic.
And yet last year Gally was shit on constantly. Probably because he was hurt - just as Slaf has been this year.

Slaf has already shown he’s got heart. His development hasn’t been linear and it’s not normally a straight line for most guys. There will be ups and downs. I’m not worried about him at all. Playing with Dach did not help. Let’s see how he does back on the first.

He may not be a superstar but he was never projected to be. He’s going to be a good player for us.

On ice performance is frustrating but I ain't worried about slaf I still see a beast in him. One day league will be gushing over this guy.

I say next year he breaks out

Shane Wright: 7 goals, 6 assists , +4, with 13 min ice time.
Slaf: 2 goals, 13 assists, - 9, with 16:50 ice time.

SLAF also played most of the season on the 1st line. Yikes.

Possible (hopefully not) and unlikely but too soon to tell. I remember one weakness of Armia already when drafted was his inconsistency. Slaf also seems quite streaky. However he has better skating and strength than Armia at the same age.
Better skating? He sure doesn't show it much.

When we fall down the rankings to have a high draft pick we have the worst timing possible.
Our last three picks in the top 3. Galchy- KK and Slaf , that is a terrible run.

Remember last year when Slaf was the king of Montreal, and management knocked it out of the park with that choice?

I think I recall that...
