Sweden the only team without injuries. Tärnström have had some troubles though and the status of Peter Forsberg is still some mysterious. All other teams have lost keyplayers (Blake, Pronger, Roenick, Schneider, Kapanen, Bondra, Palffy, Handzus, Lang, Kubina, Fedorov, Khabibulin), maybe this could give Sweden an advantage.

Wow, an entire squad of 26 players.

And this team could've done some serious damage in this tourney as well, many good players. Sadly we won't see them play.

Prusek will be replaced by Petr Briza of Sparta Praha. Saflicky's Russian team won't release him for the tournament.

Benda was not injured against Canada. Benda is not playing because his Russian team is not letting him leave, just like Sushinsky, Salficky, and all the others.

Finland also needed to chance Jere Karalahti to Janne Niinimaa... my comments for the reason could be "a bit aggresive" so I leave those out.

Besides (I never thought I'd say this) Niinimaa was good against Czechs.
