The Refs Thread

So inconsistent. in the regular season you tap the puck carrier's stick and you get called and all of sudden head hunting is an acceptable play? If You show the Caufield assault to 100 people and all of them call it a penalty but professional refs decide otherwise. Just plain stupid.

Most fans would agree that it’s ok for refs to be more permissive on some infractions (after the whistle roughing, 1 stride or 2 more then usual for charging, half a second more for a hit after possession, etc) but there has to be some redline.

Crosschecks to the head and clear interference (see Barkov’s hit last night) should be called 100% of the time. It’s not hard.

Also, I went and looked back at McDavid on Garland, honestly it wasn’t worse then the cross checks on Gallagher and Caufield. Missed call is one thing, but not even a phone call of the league?

Munitions for CTE lawsuits down the road.

I can't do crosschecks to the face.
It should be an automatic like the delay of game penalty or a high stick.
The evidence is irrefutable not like a high stick where embellishment can draw a call.
I don't care what brings on the act it has to be called.

No refs hockey, game is over after a 5 goal spread, 2 hours continuous time, or only one player is left standing.

I’d pay to watch that.

Reffing has been absolute shit in many series. One of the worst officiated rounds in many years. Not sure what happens but it seems like the league is encouraging extreme violence.
