1. DeAngelo
2. DeAngelo
3. DeAngelo

Dominant performance all over the ice capped with the one-punch KO of KO.

At 5v5 he went +24/-10 in shot attempts, +12/-3 in scoring chances, +5/-1 in high-danger scoring chances, +4/-0 in goals.

The Rangers without him on the ice went +16/-39 in shot attempts, +7/-20 in scoring chances, +3/-11 in high-danger scoring chances, +1/-1 in goals.

Rasmus Dahlin went +1/-11 against DeAngelo and +20/-3 against everybody else.

@Siddi spot on - a great team effort with depth scoring and a beautiful goal by Boo Nieves and that is quite interesting - no doubts that some develop at a later stage in NHL. Hopefully Boo Nieves can build on this Buffalo game going forward.

Interesting stat that blew my mind. The Rangers have the second most fights in the league.

So I think the **** is pretty stupid. These sort of knockouts end careers and cause permanent damage. Almost as depressing as the fact this footage looks like it was from 1987. We're getting old.
Kind of agree, because hockey has evolved that way. But man, usually our players are on the receiving end of butt whoopings. For me, I enjoyed that and the only problem I had with it, was that it was too quick!

Kind of like going to an Ali-Frazier fight, or Sugar Ray Leonard vs Roberto Duran.......no maś, no maś.....and it ends in 3 rounds.

With Smith playing wing......suddenly our defensive corps, is stronger of the right side?

Tony
Adam
Shatty
Pionk

With just Staal and Skeji

You know, it really isnt a bad idea pulling your weak link on defense and making him into a "good defensive" winger, opposed to a crappy dman. Lol.

At one time we needed offense on the right side, so we got Shatty. With the emergence of Tony (and some say Pionk) Shatty is an expensive "extra", and I really want no part of him. Trade him, and get what you can get.

Edit: despite him playing much better lately, it that is a good thing. Raising eyebrows.

While we aren't too far from the bottom of the standings, we're also like 3 points off from picking 14th-15th... god damn I hope that's not our fate.

@Buchnevich89 said this in gdt;
Mika is...too perfect. His play, his personality, his looks, his versatility, etc.

Hank is pissed off you said that.
What if Hank and Mika had a child?

He would be one goal scoring, goal preventing, DJ playing, bearded GQ cover boy, with golden ends to his long hair.....
Oh, and have lots of money.

@Machinehead what in the heck are you awake at 3am for?
GF giving you a hard time?

I am usually feeling somewhat plastered by games end, that I can't even make one post......post game. So I post many the next day. Lol.

Kind of makes you wonder.......

It's just unbelievable how there are so many teams that have less points than we do.......while supposedly they aren't in any kind of self annointed "rebuild" like we are. Yet, here we are.

With that said......we are still going to be losing 3 maybe 4 more.

Losing players like Nash , Grabner, McD, Miller, Girardi, and even Holden. (Did I forget someone?)

Anyway.......just kind of goes to show how we really were probably only a "superstar" away, or the obvious maturation (if you want to call it that) and improvement of players like Zbad, Kreids and Hayes.

Had these guys played like they are this year, back then.........would we or couldn't we have won a cup?........I know I am a little crazy, but did you follow me here?

I suppose thats what they mean by timing, but still all in all......look how we have traded/lost so many players and this team STILL doesn't suck. I mean, what does that say for teams that HAVE been blessed with generational players?

I suppose lets count our blessings that we ripped off Ottawa with a Zbad for Brassard trade. Zuccha becoming the player that many thought, would never be.
Hayes, Pionk and Vesey, covered for a few bad giveaways of our picks. All in all, I suppose we are "lucky" to even be in this position. At least we have something to work with here. Which coincides with me NOT wanting to part with Kreids (not unless we are guaranteed to get bith Zuccha and Hayes back) He and Zbad need to lead this team on to the next chapter, together.

For those who missed it. Buffalo fans are saying this possibly could be career ending, but hopefully not. They're also criticizing players on the ice for not stepping up and protecting KO from fighting. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

Interesting media reactions, some of them want to ban fighting, because there are children watching the games. I dunno, you don't see this a lot, most fights don't end with a knockout and blood. But Okposo has a history with concussions, he really shouldn't fight.

But thank you ADA for standing up for my boy when he was checked from behind and sent into the boards, I'll never again say you suck. Mika can't fight, but at least he tried. So ADA stepped in and said, let me handle this...and so he did.

Good thing Zucc wasn't hurt, could've ruined any trade plans ;)
