Couldn't help but really examine those standings this morning.

This feels like a big game with Vegas on deck, and the 4-point swing on the horizon against the Islanders.

Rangers have won their last 4 games in Arizona.

If we're getting Kuemper, he's won only once since mid-November (1 in 10) despite some very decent numbers. Most recently, Coyotes lost vs. Jersey (SO) on Friday.

I gave a similar sentiment before the victory in Nashville.

To be precise, we’ll hold a 2-0 lead this afternoon, only to lose it as the Coyotes force extra time.

A few minutes into OT, Vesey gets caught up ice and takes a hooking penalty. Seconds later, a shot dedirects off Brendan Smith to give him his 5th goal of the year on Lundqvist. (Smith is one of the league’s premier goal scorers around our own net). The GWG is credited to Stepan.

Following the OTL, Sam and Joe debate for the next 8 minutes whether the puck caromed off Smith’s hand, torso, or thigh.

I have seen this game.

I'd say if the rangers unload Hayes, zucc, McQuaid and say...1 or 2 other players..and don't get back any immediate help...like...if they did a Hayes for trouba deal that's a push in terms of today...but if they did a Hayes for makar trade...that's a big loss today .anyways if they don't get back anything for those guys I'd say a top 5 pick is all but guaranteed...maybe top 3.

They arent making trades for today,but for the future.If we could get Makar for Hayes ill build a f***ing statue of Gorton and put it in front of MSG.A deal like that would be a grand slam.
