Like I said, they'd be morons to put such a low priority on a RB with how focused the team's offense is on the rushing game.

It's also funny that you mention Swift and Sanders, both of those guys were 2nd rounders taken 35th and 53rd respectively. The Eagles never relied on round 4 RBs to be successful.

I think you're underselling the Eagles Oline. Barkley is amazing, but the Oline helps him look that way.

This team has a ton of talent on the Oline, but I'm convinced they have a coaching issue in Pat Meyer. B Jones regressed big time. Dan Moore plateued and never got better. Same with Daniels.

I expect Frazier to have a sophomore slump and continue the pattern of rookies plummeting once they have a year in this organization. It happened to Benton and JPJ

These positional coaches flat out suck ass across the board. Can't name 1 position group where you say: they tend to churn out good players here.

Some of the issues just have to do with bad draft picks. I can't put it all on the position coach to mold a bad player into a good player.

While I want to bash Pat Meyer, I'm keeping an open mind until mid way through the 2025 season. Zack Frazier was very good this past season. Seamalo has not regressed. McCormick played well for coming from a DII school to the NFL. Daniels was playing well before he got hurt.

Dan Moore was a 4th round pick who has played well for being drafted in that position. It's not his fault they drafted a guy who couldn't actually be a swing tackle. They should have known that before drafting him. For a 4th round pick, I think he has played well.

The Steelers forgot that you need to draft OL high in the draft to get talent.

They already said that Benton is really a 3-tech, but he's definitely better suited for the 5. He can hold up against the run, but we are kind of wasting him in that role.

We also had that dimwit CB (can't remember his name) enter the opposing team's huddle and get flagged for it.
During the 2020 Covid year we had Eric Ebron gloating on Twitter how the Steelers were going to pad their stats.
We had Juju dancing on other teams' logos. Claypool spiking the football with less than 1 minute in the game.

The statement was made that they won't be drafting guys with good character and that is patently false. The last few drafts they have shown an affinity for drafting guys with good character. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're asking the wrong question bc it's superficial and not part of a root cause analysis

We generally agree that the Steelers have had some problem children - so we can categorize this as a fact that needs analysis

Let's dig further and ask "why" a few times.

- Are these players with issues coming to the team with previous problems or no?
- If they don't have previous red flags then why do they act out?
- Do the Steelers promote a culture of troublemakers?

What I'm getting at is that it's good they moved on from problem players. But it's best not to have them in the 1st place. And I think there are plenty of examples to at least state there is a pattern that not all these dudes came to the organization with red flags on their resume. And that the person running this team promotes a culture of non accountability from playing time to other consequences.

The Steelers clearly don't mind taking risks on character issues - and I think also have a team culture that brings out the worst in people there with alarming regularity - but the idea they actively avoid high character players is so obviously false and ridiculous I'm not going to waste another word on this.
