Even if the asking price is low, the price price is not:I can't believe I am breaking NBA news/rumors, but in case you guys missed it this morning ...
Windy was on ESPN, talking about Bradley Beal among other things. He didn't say anything like "he prefers the Sixers" or something, but he did name-check them when speaking of the teams Beal (who has no-trade control and control over the package his return lands in a trade) could be moved to. He also said (paraphrasing) "People will be shocked by how low the ask will be in a trade," meaning it will be a bargain for the acquiring team.
You’re a beast, Cap.I can't believe I am breaking NBA news/rumors, but in case you guys missed it this morning ...

I think the only way that type of deal happens would be Beal refusing to be traded anywhere else.Bobby Mark's hypothetical 76ers deal for Beal....if Harden left:

The athletics business model was pretty garbage. Honestly it seemed like they hoped to put enough 'competitors' out of business while taking 'big losses/using up oodles of investment money' to hope they could emerge in a landscape where the people they were overpaying didn't have anywhere else to go and they could get them to re-join the Athletic at a much lower rate.I didn’t realize they laid off Rich Hofmann too. Every writer I subbed to The Athletic to read is now gone or in a role that doesn’t fit what I want from them (Kapadia) minus Brugler. And it’s not like there’s a shortage of good NFL draft sources.
If you add up all of the dozens and dozens of additions they’ve made since their first year of existence, they’ve only given me two NFL Staff Writers of value. As much as I enjoy the two of them, that’s not worth a sub to a monolith. I guess that‘s done.

Jordan paid $275 million in 2010 to become majority owner. He's getting $3 BILLION in 2023 to sell off most of that ownership (remaining with a slight minority stake).
