Shoulda got one game in
I don't know the details of the situation with how she is paid but I do know that her health insurance agency has repeatedly denied her meds that are necessary for her treatment. She's a doctor, she's investigated her own condition and has an idea what is required. Yet the health insurer keeps trying to cancel or delay things that her primary and specialists prescribe.

A health insurer not wanting to pay? I’m shocked!

My wife used to work in the billing department of a major hospital here in Rochester and had to try and get insurance companies to pay for procedures. Some of the stories...
All insurance companies are the worst. I can't stand them. Every year is a new battle. "Depreciation"? How about "replacement cost"? They're the biggest thieving scumbuckets. The healthcare industry doesn't help by double billing and billing $120 an aspirin. The whole system is broken

It now takes 3 appointments to do what 1 appointment used to do. First appointment is just a "getting to know you", then you go in for a physical, then you go in for the results of blood work related to a physical...

Similarly, I don't get the point of homeowners insurance. I have asked about 4 different items over the years and always get the "not covered" answer. Today I said to the lady, "why is it that me trying to be responsible and preventative is punished? You make it sound like I'd be better off if my house started on fire"

Exactly, they keep coming up with new ways to pay less and less. After Katrina the scam was on full display. A relative who lived 2 miles from the coast here in NE never had flooding or water damage of any sorts in the 20+ years of living there all of a sudden had to pay huge premiums for flood coverage. You couldn't even see the ocean from her house it was so far from it. On a hill to boot. They had to recoup that money somehow. Everyone else had to pay it.

Ha. I say. Ha.
😁 good luck

It’s not Xmas here anymore. It’s Boxing Day, but Merry xmas to you people in the past.

It’s a pity you can’t feel a photo, because it’s cooking here, a perfect Kiwi Christmas. I tried to find a photo of the Kiwi Christmas tree (Pōhutukawa), but it seems like none of my sister’s neighbours have one
