All the posters that thought we were a bubble team are upset our GM has us in 3rd place with the second best goal differential and best expected goal differential in the league and just had no issue waiving one of his own recent signings for the good of the team.
That's not fair. However horrible you may think some Leaf fans are, you can't say any of them prefer a losing team. People bring up a very reasonable concern with the goaltending situation, and its clearly not good if Campbell can't go. Let Kyle have some responsibility for that and don't project weird falsehoods on people that clearly aren't true. The Leafs can be performing well and succeeding under Kyle's current plan and still have fatal vulnerabilities that should have been better patched by now. It's premature to worry perhaps, but that's only because Campbell is healthy and it isn't past the deadline. Kyle can fix this, but he's had several years and we still played Hutch this season so I wouldn't be too optimistic, goaltending depth is one area he's botched from the get go if you're interested in being honest and objective about it.

Dubas went out and got the historically best tandem goaltender that was available on the UFA market in the off-season. He’s not at fault for Mrazek’s fluke injuries

I don’t think we are looking to pick on Mrazek and I don’t know much about him before he became a Leaf so I can only judge based on what I have seen and it hasn’t been good.
Since 04/28/2019 he has had 6 injuries of various descriptions.
He has dealt with lower body injuries throughout his career starting in 2019 with the Canes.
So far with the Leafs he has a 4.13 ga and an .880 save percentage in the 3 games he has managed to play for the Leafs
At least you knew you were one of those i was referring to…. mrazek has proven that when available he’s played in more games than not over his career and has been part of series wins in the past.
he’s fully capable, and just like nick Ritchie I highly doubt Dubas was bidding against himself when mrazek was pretty much the first goalie off the ufa board this summer.
If he’s healthy and needs to be traded he’ll have suitors. if he’s injured he goes on ltir. I don’t really see the problem

I’m really happy for you that you don’t see a problem but I’m not so easily impressed as you seem to be.

I wonder why Mrazek hasn’t been given a game lately

because we have barely played in the last month and jack is having a vezina calibre season this far. Come on man, use some critical thinking
So you are ok with running jack that hard while Mrazek sits on the bench. Wouldn’t you think that Keefe should be just as confident putting Mrazek in?
I keep hearing in this thread that Mrazek is this great goalie

with all the postponed games I’m sure leafs will be getting a lot of 3 games in 4 or 5 nights. We’ll be seeing lots of Mrazek soon. Right now it’s just 1 game and then 4 day break.

I literally said the answer in my previous post. Jack is having a vezina calibre season and we haven’t had a moment yet where he’s needed rest, given how little we’ve played since Mrazek returned from injury. Why would we not play jack if he’s rested?

"fatso" Brodeur used to had 12 seasons with over 70 games throughout his career. Things have sure changed!
