Hard to say Mrazek is a waste since he’s only played a few games due to injury

Mrazek once he gets into some games will be a positive acquisition for a team this offseason looking to shore up their goaltending and will be a legitimate trade target, don't think we'd need to pay someone to take him. Ritchie however will probably cost a pick to go with him. I'm assuming that money they're taking up should go to Campbell on his next deal because hoo boy is Jack really making himself expensive with his play this season.

He is healthy now. He has got to earn the job. I think he starts Saturday night. He also has two more years on his deal.
 
Still a but perplexed why folks thing a guy who will be 30, with a single career season as a starter under his belt is going to get multiple million more per year than a guy like Robin Lehner recently signed for

And not to say he hasn't done a lot of good because he has - he just put his career on the line believing in this core which has for several years failed to perform in the big games

its mostly the loud minority around here trying to find something to pick on. Its really perplexing tbh.

I have liked some of the moves this past off season but Richie and Mrazek have negated those.

I don’t think we are looking to pick on Mrazek and I don’t know much about him before he became a Leaf so I can only judge based on what I have seen and it hasn’t been good.
Since 04/28/2019 he has had 6 injuries of various descriptions.
He has dealt with lower body injuries throughout his career starting in 2019 with the Canes.
So far with the Leafs he has a 4.13 ga and an .880 save percentage in the 3 games he has managed to play for the Leafs

I agree that we are going to need him in those situations I’m just not sure he is up to the task and can stay healthy.

The two more. Years is the scary part if he can’t stay healthy.
We are going to have to pay Campbell a lot more money and cannot afford to have that much tied up in Mrazek

If he can't stay healthy. We used to say the same thing about Campbell. Anyway, he is not a waste.
 
All the posters that thought we were a bubble team are upset our GM has us in 3rd place with the second best goal differential and best expected goal differential in the league and just had no issue waiving one of his own recent signings for the good of the team.

I’m one of those fans and I can say I’m glad I was wrong. I’m still skeptical till I see a 1st round win. I do have some concerns with Holl in the top 4 but lots of time to see if the Leafs can fix that.
