You could tell the crowd was very engaged.
Crazy thing is Tampa had like 11 minutes on the man advantage and still didn't score. Leafs PK was everywhere all night. 25-11 in blocked shots too. We played desperate and composed. If we get more efforts like this we'll win this series.

Great game! I unfortunately didn’t see it live (I always watch on replay the next day because of my time zone). I got up at 5 just so I could watch the whole game before work, but ESPN seem to have balled up the archiving cause it’s still not up. I had to give up and watch the 9 min condensed version on the NHL app instead.

This is the recipe. Don't think ahead, just play one game at a time. Great game, but I don't raise my hands until we have won four.
I liked what I saw after the game. Matthews didn't celebrate, it was short cheer for Soup and then just business.
Funniest stat from this game:

If the refs continue to do such a SUPERB job of calling the game we could get a big rest before the second round. I pray they do, we were literally one step faster than the Bolts.
Guys like Kucherov and Point, are shells of what they were in the recent past.
Surprisingly an older player like Killorn seems to be playing as well as ever.
The Leafs? our speed is incredible.

If we can show up to play like that, we become one of the scariest teams in the league.
While most other fans will still cling to implosion, which we may still well do, those that watched last night's game are praying that isn't what the Leafs have matured into.

God I hope going up 3-1 then losing is what they needed to keep them hungry
they had to of thought they had it last year and then boom they learned how quickly that can change.

Im 35 and I had to look him up I was more of a WCW fan until the attitude era really kicked off then who couldn't watch I remember this guy but I never knew his name

Please boys, don't get game misconducts next game. That 5 minute kill may prove key in the series, but how often can ya kill 5 mins against a team like Tampa?

Reminder to not take our foot off the gas. Tampa has played alot of hockey the last 2 years. We need to continue to beat them down.
I'm in my 50s....I went to nyr games as kid till 1975...I last rooted for them 1992. I don't root. Legendary maple laugh fan lol. Actually I last really got into it 1986
