So I just setup a subscription to The Hockey News today...looking forward to getting this mag twice a month. Anyone else subscribe or have any opinions on it?

I have been reading Hockey News since it was printed on news paper, but have only been a subscriber since last August. It has gotten to be pretty hit or miss. Being obsessed with hockey in the age of the internet has probably ruined it for me since by the time I get the mag a lot of the stories are already old news. However, I do like their AHL and prospect reporting. All in all, I think its worth it if you can get a good price on the subscription... Otherwise it's like $50 per year and I don't think it's worth that.

I have been getting it since I was in Grade 8. (2008) Up until about a year ago I'd read every issue page for page, front to back. I just don't have the time to do that anymore, but I do glimpse through it. I like them. I like collecting them.

i cancelled my subscription 4 years ago because by the time i got it i had read all the information from the forums here lol. it seemed out dated

If you love to follow hockey as a whole and are into prospects and other teams, you'll enjoy it.

I had subscriptions back when it was on paper and tried it again recently. I didnt re-up the sub because I found that I really dont care about all that.

I enjoy the game, I enjoy following the Caps (as much as anyone can enjoy that roller coaster), but really dont care about some jr player in Saskatchewan that might play for the Flames sometime in the future.

As a result I didnt really read it that much. But as I said, if you enjoy all that other stuff, its pretty in depth and you should enjoy it.

thanks fellas, im just looking forward to having something hockey related thats in physical form and to start collecting them....pretty colors! haha jokes
