I like to watch sometimes videos with old comersials and fragments of Russian television broadcasts of the first half of the 90s, due to nostalgic reasons, and I recently found this video with footage of NYC 1993 in hd quality, and in the comments I saw a guy who claims that he recognized himself in it. He says that he is a person at 1:00 that looking like John Travolta, who looks back at the woman. His nickname is Robert Knupfer, you can find him in the comments. Holy shit, it's so incredible that I think it deserves a thread

It's really interesting seeing videos like that, where they just capture what a normal day was like 30 years ago. There has to be a name for it, something like video documentation.

Here are a few that I can think of:

The Dan Bell Dead Mall series is a good watch, too, even though it's filmed in modern day.

these videos are like windows in time, I have goosebumps when I watch it, as if the past became real and i walking there among these people, wow

And what is even more striking is that, according to the laws of physics, the past is really real, and it exists on a par with the present and future, so we can say that what we see here is happening in a some manner right now
