GBU The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly - RJ, We Love You Too. 4/1/22

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

The Great:
- Doing the opening ceremony right.
- Doing the picture at the end right.
- Giving RJ and that sold out crowd THAT win.

The Good:

- Tage ripping vulcanized rubber.
- Tuch was all over the place.
- I appreciated the forechecking job of the Gus-Eakin-KO line all night.
- Krebs and Cozens were flying.
- Enjoying Mitts and also his line. Asplund and Olofsson contributed hard to that win.
- Samuelsson. Cobra Kai killing plays.
- Out hitting the Preds?
- Out faceoff-ing(?) the Preds?
- It didn't seem like they had any passengers. Yes, there were some gaffs that lead directly to GA, but the engagement and effort were top notch and there was no one visibly down on themselves and hanging their head.
- Shout out to Skinner's effort in this one. He had that one-man zone clear that was something, but him driving the lane on the one goal, then immediately making sure Tage gets the #30 puck? Selling out to win puck battles and all that? Yeah, that Skinny is just fine.

The Bad:

- That ESPN+ does not carry the MSG pre or post game shows.
- I wanted them to win in the worst way.

The Ugly:

- Nothing.

Good, Scary Good:
- For a franchise that has done so much wrong for the last decade... they f***in' nailed it tonight. The pre-game ceremony, the video tributes from his family and former greats, putting him up in a box with his family. It was picture perfect.
- The team coming out to put on a show for the sold out crowd, RJ. Crowding around for a picture at the end.

Bad:
- Nothing could ruin the night

Ugly:
- The ugly tears shed by many

Scary good:
- RJ's career. We've been so lucky to have him over the life of this franchise. And what great way to honor his legacy tonight was.

Good:
- A packed house. A win. The battle we saw from every guy in the lineup tonight.

B:
- What passes for reffing at the NHL level

U:
- Not today.

That was a really good game. The Preds couldnt keep up. They might be dusted for a few days

Cobra was a beast
Okposo laying some hits
Thompson with the goals
Skinner getting Tages 30th then trying to get him the hat trick with the empty netter
Krebs is progressing to potential stardom
Cozens is progressing into a fan favorite
Loved the entire team. And RJ. We love you

Ugly:
NHL.com has the wrong 3 stars of the game.

Good:
- There's a Sabres player attacking all the time. I don't know if I've seen a Sabres team play this aggressive. They aren't allowing a lot of room for opponents.
- When there is a mistake or a miss.. they hustle back.
- I don't think there's a floater on the roster right now.. everyone seems to hustle and they're going, going the whole game.

Bad:
- Nothing

Ugly:
- Nothing

I'm just saying I was literally crying and smiling. I love this team so much. I'm getting all the feels about why I have stuck with this team since I was a little kid going to the Kenmore Library and asking them to play the silent 8mm movie of the Sabres - Flyers Stanley CUP Finals AGAIN. It hasn't been easy but I genuinely love these kids and I'm so beyond excited for the next few years. Just wish RJ could be around to call the games but he's been calling games as long as I've been alive and I have to appreciate how blessed we have all been.
