The Good:

The Jost line doing their cycle thing to equalize after giving one up. Very solid out of all three IMO on the cycle.
Thompson getting back on the ledger.
Krebs back and possessed.
Kurashev having himself a game.

The Bad:

Late GTG against.
Being unable to lock anything down defensively, blowing another 2-goal lead late.
Posts. Three times.
The Dahlin-less powerplay was powerless..

The Ugly:

The misconduct.
Mitts own goal.

People don’t understand this is growing year for this team. The team will ride the highs and lows of its very young core. The struggles aren’t because we’re missing a defensemen or a middle six winger. It’s because this team is inconsistent.

They will get more consistent and dominant as they develop

Jesus these losses are starting to hurt considering most of them would have been won with a little more finishing. Feel like the puck hasn’t bounced our way in awhile, minus Nashville

This wouldn’t be an unreasonable take if we were playing Boston or Toronto or an actual good team. No offense to Blackhawk fans but the Hawks are fking ass and are a team that are actively trying to get Bedard. We are a team that aspires to make the playoffs and after a shit effort against Florida they choke away a 3-1 lead going into the 3rd. No sane sports fan is going to think that’s acceptable I’m sorry regardless or whether or not we are young, rebuilding or whatever excuse could possibly exist in the existence of the universe.

I'm frustrated with this loss. With the year and a half of development that much of this team has gone thru, they still seems to make the same mistakes over and over again.

Blowing a 3-1 lead to a team that's closer to AHL level than NHL level is simply unacceptable. No excuses whatsoever for this one, none.

Lmfao talking about a growing year when the coach said recently that winning is their priority. 2 weeks ago we were talking playoffs and then they dropped 5 of 6.

The team needs to wake the f*** up. I’m sick of everyone babying them.

In the grand scheme I wholeheartedly agree.

But SOME progression in their own end is needed sooner rather than later. They're regressing in that department, not progressing.

U
Nothings good when you lose to a team like that.
The reffing was bad, and they didn’t overcome
Kevyn Adams. He punted a season with the potential to move forward so we could find out what we have in Mittelstadt and Bryson

Feels like the coach and GM need to have a sit-down to talk about what they are supposed to be trying to accomplish. They aren't getting better play out of Quinn or Peterka. The defensive play out of the Jost line is rough and best helped when they are able to cycle in the offensive zone because it's harder to score from 200' away. Thompson's line is not particularly strong defensively. There has not been improvement in how they defend in their zone or how they defend the neutral zone when up from what I can see. That's where the growth should be coming from.

And if they are now supposed to be winning instead of just improving, then the GM had better get on the same page.

Just when Oloffson and Mitts get going the rest of the team tanks. Thats the good and the worst.

Anderson has a right to be mad about Johnson on the tying goal but you can’t put your fate in the hands of toronto on a so so goalie interference.

Ive hated skinner for a while now just a lot of bad passes and lazy effort lately and think it’s affecting Thompson mojo.

Also the overuse of our studs has now come to roost. Dahlin and Thompson are not themselves. Its now a short term problem on top of a long term problem. Time to pull up on the reins Donnie.

It was hard to watch them fumble this one away.

Need to see a big performance against the Islanders. But honestly, I don’t know what to expect.
