In this thread, we can all talk about our gambling. What games we like to play, different strategies, and general discussion about gambling.

I'll start. Where I live in Southern California, there's not much to choose from when it comes to gambling. We have the largest poker room in the world (Commerce Casino) so I visit there sometimes to play some poker. I don't play blackjack there because they charge a commission for EVERY hand.

When I make the trip to Vegas, I like to play Craps and of course the sports book. There's nothing more exhilarating than being on a hot Craps table or watching the last game of your 3-team parlay hoping your team covers the spread.

So what about you, Lounge?

went to the casino a couple times this summer with some friends. Only spent $20 each time. Fun way to spend a night in a casual way. I'll play blackjack or slots.

There was this Wizard of Oz slot game in Vegas that I could not stop playing the last time I was there. Other than that, I don't usually play the slots.

We were doing some special video poker one. Poker and blackjack are the only games I'm somewhat knowledgeable on.

If they made online poker legal in California, I would totally buy a laptop for that reason alone. I miss playing online poker.

really you can't play online? What about free to play ones? I assume that's still legal???

I'm sure there are offshore sites still around that can be used, but I never liked the hassle of the payout process. Maybe its changed now but I stopped a long time ago. As far as playing without real money for fun, well... aint nobody got time for that lol. I do play on this poker app on my phone every once in a while, but its definitely not the same type of poker as if it were played with real money. People play like idiots and it ruins the experience.

PartyPoker was good but also infuriating at times because some tool would go all-in every single time.

Horse track is where it's at. Spend day outside with beer, sun and live action right in front of you. If you want to spend the time trying to read stats and pick winners you can and not feel cheated by a system. I just bet on killer horse names because when drinking I have no time for pamphlets.

We hit the tables a bit in Auckland, and I can't remember the difference anymore.... but I just remember when we were playing blackjack there that they had some strange ass rules.

Love the horse track. Last time I went, it was with a couple of buddies. We would drink then go to the holding area where the horses are before the race and we would choose which horse to bet on from whatever thing that stand out to us. "That horse has a weird stripe on its back. It's a sign. Totally betting on him". Or, "That horse looks roided out AF. Totally betting on him" haha, made for a good time.
