I don't have a political perspective on this game, its always been Canada vs USA, we are the best they wanna be the best, they hate us cause they ain't us

But beyond this game and because he inserted himself into this game and regardless of the outcome of this game that dirty pig is gonna make it about himself and whatever stupid tweet or truth social garbage that gets put out win or lose he will troll us calling us the 51st state and I have zero time for that kind of nonsense becoming a story in MY HOCKEY GAME

Trump saying abhorrent things is nothing new. It's just sort of what he does because it's all about dominance plays and humiliation for him. He won't annex Canada any more than he will deport 10M+ immigrants because, at a fundamental level, he is lazy. And to accomplish either of those goals would require a Herculean effort and the pushback would be immense. So he does the cheap thing and just spouts off for the cheap seats. It's horrible and I hate it and it speak poorly of many of the people who eat it all up, but here we are.

he says a lot of dumb shit but because of his off ice contributions to many communities over eastern Canada, he deserves the benefit of the doubt from me. afaik he hasn’t peddled that crap before and again seems more of like stupid commentary.

This tournament is even dumber in hindsight than I originally thought.

Pause a league so 10% of the best players can go play in another completely unrelated and completely insignificant tournament while destroying NHL team chemistry and sending players home injured.

Very lame.

Pretty much best case scenario quinn was forced to rest and the other two attendees were done early and stayed healthy.

wow i ordered a team canada 4 nations jersey and recieved an email today from the company coolhockey.. and said sorry we apologized and wanted to reimburse me with 15 percent off and refund back so bullshit.

I basically said the same thing to my buds two days ago, cannot agree more. All he's doing is destroy decades of goodwill. His project2025 has so many destabilizing steps that annexing something the size of Crimea would be hard, Canada? He wants some cheap unfair trade deal (lunch money) out of this so he can tells his cohorts how badass he is in the playground.

Only thing it really does for any nation is allow them a "tune up" for the 26 Olympic games. Since it's been 8.5 years before the last WC in Aug/Sep 2016.

With maybe 10 months between now and the date they need to name their roster, if a player wasn't on the radar for this tournament, doubtful they'd make it next year. Have all of 2025 Playoff/or World Championship and like 60 more regular season games before the 26 team is announced.
