Alright folks, here it is. We're going to do this like Jaster proposed, and just post your top 10 to 20 prospects, or message them to me if you don't want to publicly share. The list will be created with a point system weighted inversely from where they are listed, so

1=20 points
2-19 points
3=18 points
etc.

List posting will be open for a week, from today thru next Saturday (2/9 to 2/15). I might close the thread until I have the results to post. Might not. We'll wait and see how it goes and if anyone has any strong feelings about it. I figure we'll then do another prospect ranking after the draft, maybe do separate polls for that since it'll be summer and no hockey to scream about.

Any ranking criteria to use to have some sort of common basis? For example, NHL readiness, NHL projected games played, majority of career slot projections, longevity on the wings or NHL career etc?

The cupboard is pretty well stocked, so some sifting and sorting guidelines would be helpful...or is this going to to be a free-wheeling exercise?

nope. Just personal feelings. If you want to argue for your choices in your post, go ahead, but I leave the reasoning entirely up to the people making the lists.

What is the max age, and games played in the NHL?

Personally, I consider Ed, Kasper, and Soderblom as having graduated. The quickest and easiest determination might just be if someone is still eligible for rookie of the year.

I’ll just use prospects that haven’t been regulars for the big club the last few weeks.

1)ASP
2) Cossa
3) Buchelnikov
4) MBN
5) Augustine
6) Mazur
7) Plante
8) Kiiskinen
9) Buium
10) Danielson
11)Lombardi
12) Wallinder
13)Finnie
14)Dylan James
15) NDN

Thought I would have Finnie ranked higher. But grab a life jacket… this pool is deep! Couldn’t get him past 13.

RIP Jaster
I thought he put me on his ignore list so I didn't see of his posts. He just left the board without any notice and any goodbye? Strange.

The prospects.
I don't follow the prospects at all and I barely know their names. So I have to ask if any of these who are not top 10 have any chance of making it to the NHL.

If I were to guess, he's self-restricting so he doesn't get himself banned. Or he got banned. One of the two.

Or maybe he's just busy.

I just moved back to MI and started a new job. I haven't had time to watch games, much less post. Besides, I can't comment if I'm not watching games. Kinda sucks because they're finally playing well.

It's a lot more convenient to watch games on the West Coast, the games are 3 hours earlier. I go to sleep before 10pm now....

Yeah… not loving the title of this thread when the guy just suddenly stopped posting after 17 years of being a member
