The past 3 true Stanley Cup winners (tampa's were all during covid-19 circumstances) are from the west.... and once again Las Vegas is proving the Eastern Conference can't compete with the hard nosed Western Conference teams when the going gets tough.

It's honestly very sad to watch fans of eastern conference teams laugh during the regular season as their teams put up meaningless points and then struggle to beat their western opposition when it matters. Every June should be a reminder to east coast fans that their regular season points do not matter and they will get bullied in next year's playoffs.

Yes, that’s it. If one conference has the last three (not even there yet…) Stanley Cup winners, the other half of the best hockey league in the world “is weak”. And their fans need to “learn a lesson”.

I don’t remember these “my team’s conference is better” arguments until like a decade ago, but they are as dumb as ever.

By your ""logic"" I could say the last 20 "true" Stanley Cup winners are from the East and just list stupid reasons why the Western ones don't count.

That said, Cinderella teams never, ever win the Stanley Cup. For a sport that brags about parity the playoffs are littered with afterthought teams that just take up space (Wild, Stars, Isles)

Dunno about that, OP. Montreal was a non-playoffs team in the East and humiliated two supposedly strong western teams, including Vegas. Their toughest challenger that year was obviously Tampa but besides that, the Leafs gave them a harder time than either western teams.
