U18: The Draft Analyst recap: U18 Five Nations (Plymouth, MI)

Spent two great days in Plymouth watching four of the five teams (sorry, Swiss). Seemed like Team USA benefitted from playing a bunch of mature NCAA teams prior to the tournament, because they smoked everyone 18 and younger. It took a miracle for the Swedes to beat them.

Granted, a lot of international talent was in Gothenburg for the U20's, but a fine display of talent nonetheless.

Thanks for the article. Four years ago, I was in the area to watch a Michigan hockey game and to catch London/Plymouth. I was completely unaware that there was a U18 (that year was 4 Nations) tournament going on in the area as well. Guys like Demko, Nylander, Kempe, Kapanen, Honka, amongst others. I had earmarked this year's tournament since it was the USA's turn to host again, but it didn't work out. [/coolstorybro]
