The deeper truth behind Dubas' angst over Fleury trade leak

This is stupid.

Are you upset with Elliotte for saying what he said?

Do you think Kyle Davidson wasn't telling the truth?

From my perspective, this is like a bunch of married guys who go to a lodge where they fool around with other women so their wives won't find out. One of the guys decides to start talking about what is going on in there, and it causes a firestorm. The guys implicated in this are upset because they thought when they went to the lodge everyone was operating under a code of silence that what happened in Vegas stays in Vegas kind of a thing. One guy who doesn't play by that rule can cause a lot of issues, but he's telling the truth. Somehow, the guy who says there's an issue becomes the issue instead of the actual issue.

The issue is Kyle wanted Fleury. If not for the truth leaking out, all you would've heard was we like our goalies and we explore everything but there was nothing to anything. Now, we know that isn't true. We know what he really did and I'm thankful for it.

The only thing it has to do with is professionalism. You don't leak trades like that in the NHL, and it seems Chicago's GM needed a reminder of that.

The funny thing is, the biggest issue with it is exactly the kind of thing that's happening here - the Leaf media jumps on it, and then the fanbase jumps on it, and then we have a whole bunch of false speculation and conspiracy theories based on nothing, - all because Chicago's GM suggested a HF-level trade proposal and it got rejected.

Professionalism would've been brushing it off, denying it, or just saying he didn't want to talk about trade rumors involving his guys.

He basically confirmed the rumor as absolute truth and called out another GM while doing it to which he obviously hasn't spoken to about the incident.

And I'm a Dubas fan, I just think his handling of this situation was poor.

Leaks happen all the time, on purpose or just because someone has a big mouth. He'll have to learn to deal with it.

Who cares how Jack Campbell feels? it's not about about his feelings, it's about his performance and the fact is his performance has been dog shit since December and so you move on aand I hope that come the off season they move on from both Campbell and Marazek because neither one of them have played well in months although Marazek was solid last night but that is 1 game, against NJ and even in that game that first goal can't go in.

move on from both and find an NHL caliber tandem because 9th%is hasn't been an NHL caliber tandem at any point because ev+en when Campbell was at his best Marazek was awful
