Hey guys, where can I buy McFarlane NHL Hockey Figures in NYC? Do they have them at "NHL Powered by Reebok"?
They do, although I'm not sure what the selection is like off-hand.

Hotel: Up to you, they range from about 60 to over a thousand dollars. The lower end is fine
Taxi: As ih8 said, take the subway. The taxis charge for time, and the constant standing is a problem. A longer ride could cost upwards of 60$
Food: A good meal will usually cost about 10 dollars. You can get by with 5 if you want something cheap. Since you seem to be going alone, there's no need for an expensive restaurant
Dangers: Unless you're a girl walking half naked in the South Bronx at 2am, you will be fineJust stick with the crowds, which shouldn't be a problem, since they're everywhere
I'd love to know where you can find a hotel in NYC for $60 a night.
For that matter, I'd like to know what Taxi ride would cost $60.
A good mean for $10? Not if you plan to sit down somewhere.
A meal for $5 is probably worth laying down and avoiding.
Thanks and what do the playoff tix range like down there

You can find a cheap room for 60 bucks, and an expensive taxi ride for another 60
This is from when I was first in NYC. I was in Florida about 7 years ago, and my flight home was going through NY. The flight in New York was canceled, and my family had to spend a night in a Hotel. I don't remember exactly, but those were around the prices it came to. And as I said, those are far from the norm, but not impossible.
Depends on what you consider a good meal. I can sit down at Shake Shack, and have what I consider a good meal for $10
And i said, that since he/she seems to be alone, they wouldn't go to a restaurant
What do you guys recommend doing if you have no budget?
As in not an issue. I'll be staying with family at the Thomson LES, so so far the only things i'm set on are Rangers games and Book of Mormon. No budget as in money is not an issue or no budget as in money is a huge issue?

Even though you don't have a budget, that will take up a large part of your budget![]()

Ok, so a few more questions:
1) What hotels to avoid? I am thinking if it is 3.5-4.5 stars, I should be ok. But maybe I am wrong.
2) Planning on doing a mini bachelorette thing for our friend and was looking for a nice place for dinner and another place for drinks (it doesn't need to be a club, just a relaxing martini bar or something).
Thanks!

1. The only hotel I think that should be mentioned to be avoided is the Hotel Pennsylvania, only because a lot of out of towners seem to get drawn by it being across from MSG. It's definitely below the 3.5-4.5* level so you shouldn't be looking into it. In that range you'll be fine...it's only a question of space/location/value, they'll all be clean and safe.
2. Not sure if you mentioned it in a previous post but when will this trip be taking place? It can help in narrowing down a place for drinks. If it's when the weather will be warmer, there's a lot of great rooftop bars you might like.
As for dinner, more info needed. Any specific type of food you're looking for? And how much do you think each person would be comfortable paying (dinner plus drinks)?
I am going down in april, so its probably not quite warm enough,
As for dinner looking for something good and average to upscale price, I wouldn't really want to spend more than 100$ for dinner and drinks. Maybe that is unrealistic. Lol. Looking for something somewhat relaxing but not too trashy.
Go to Rudys pub. $7 pitchers and free hot dogs.
