16,000 probably take a train to each game. Ottawa should have built their arena downtown and not in the middle of nowhere.

Preferably a bar that has the sound of the game on and not some blaring music. Haven't watched a Ranger game in a NYC bar in awhile. I remember Stout being pretty good, but thought I'd get some recommendations from you guys. Thanks!

I went to Stout for the Winter Classic and they had the sound on. The Molly Wee has sound on during the games, and it tends to empty out before the game.

Hello. I have a vacation coming up to new York. Not sure if anyone knows but when the rangers advance to the second round does anyone have an educated guess to what days they will be playing games 1 and 2. Just trying to potentially keep those nights available for the trip.

Welcome, from Winnpeg? Round 2 would probably open at the garden anywhere between Sunday the 29th and Tuesday the 1st. Game 2 would be 2 days later

Yeah I'm visiting from Winnipeg for the NHL12 tournament. Sadly I am only staying for the weekend and was hoping at seeing MSG on the trip.

What are the odds that The Flying Puck shows the Devils game on at least one TV (God willing we win Game 6)? I was hoping I could get there early and catch both.

I wouldn't count on it. Try Van Diemers on 3rd Ave and 28th (I think, definitely 3rd ave.) They had both games on saturday night.

Sports Vacation in the Big Apple...

Hey gents... First and foremost good luck in tonight's game! It's been a fun series to watch!

While watching the Rangers game at a pub the other night with a buddy, we drunkenly decided to make our first ever trip to NY based around going to a Rangers game, Yankees game, Giants or Jets game, and Knicks game... with a side bet (If the other guy backs out by the time the other guy goes, it's $1000 in the other guys pocket). Is this possible in October if the Yankees are still playing? Or when would be the best time of year? Not completely sure when the Knicks start up their season either. Was hoping the Oilers might visit NY around that time, but it's not a big deal if it doesn't pan out. Rangers vs whoever would be good enough. Though we'd probably look like tools wearing our Oiler silks if they we're playing anyone else ;)

My biggest question is, do any of you know of a website or agency that puts together these packages that would include flights and hotel?

Any info is much appreciated!

You probably just missed the best time of year.

I think the best way to do it would be go to in the first week or two of April. Yankees tickets are really cheap if it's April and not a weekend or opening day and the NBA and NHL regular seasons are going on so you'll know when the games are scheduled for months in advance. Plus if price isn't an issue you can probably go to Yankees opening day which is always fun.

If you wanted to do it in October, it's almost a guarantee that the Yankees will be in the playoffs but unless you'll settle for an NBA preseason game your only chances of seeing the Yankees, Rangers and Knicks (unless you're staying for a few weeks) in one trip would probably rely on the Yankees making it to the World Series. This isn't beyond the realm of possibility but you can't really count on it either. You could also go to a Jets or Giants game if you go in October.

End of year is really tough, because the NBA regular starts at the end of October, and the Yankees would have to be in the World Series. But if it were a subway series, you could kill two birds with one stone and catch both the Yankees & Mets. Of course Hockey season is in full force so you could see the Rangers, Devils, and Islanders in addition to the Knicks & Nets. Meanwhile, the NFL is in gear and you can't forget the Jets & Giants.

Realistically, you have to show up in early April. You'll get the Yankees / Mets / Knicks / Nets / Rangers / Devils / Islanders & MLS Red Bulls. No NFL though

Thanks guys. An NFL game would be way above an NBA game on the totem pole. I somehow missed to include NFL in my initial post.

Got my car towed tonight a few blocks from the garden..

But hell it was worth it!

Tho the $295.00 in tickets isnt looking too hot right now.

Ditto. I was parked on 7th Avenue between 28th and 29th Streets next to F.I.T in a legal spot behind another Ranger's fan's car about 10 feet from the bus stop. When I got back to where I was parked, "My Car Was Gone!"
I walked around in a daze before running to the precinct on 30th st off of 7th ave; they told me that they wouldn't tow it off of 7th ave unless the car had outstanding tickets and then it would be a marshall's tow.
To make a long story short, I didn't get a definitive answer until I went to the car pound at 12th ave and 38th st. where they told me the car was in fact towed for 300 bucks in outstanding tickets. I have to call them tomorrow and arrange to make full payment at the ajudication center in order to get my car back.
An expensive lesson for me personally(300+300 tow fee + marshall fees ?) which put a damper on the nite but it was still worth it to be there tonite; a surreal experience to say the least!

I'm a volunteer in westchester, and the last 2 games I watched at the firehouse were OT wins.

I guess I know where I'm watching the rest of the series.
