Also I didn't catch them opening for Seal's tour last year but Horn did take The Buggles on tour finally after over 40 years -

(Horn produced Seal's first two albums among others.)

I read a book on 80's music a few years ago and Horn really help define what style of music came out and how it was produced.

Yes, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Do they know it is Christmas(he produced it with Midge Ure) and others. Producers in the UK said what he did in the studio caused them to change how they did things to make the sound of the 80's

I had the immense pleasure of attending last night's (Monday 12/2/24) performance of BEAT at UB's Center for the Arts. For those who might not know who BEAT are, they are King Crimson alums Adrian Belew and Tony Levin performing the 80s King Crimson albums Beat, Three of a Perfect Pair, and Discipline - along with drummer Danny Carey and guitarist Stevie Vai - who stood in admirably for Bill Bruford and Robert Fripp.

Powerful, intense, and riveting are three words that jump into my head to describe the concert, but there's no shortage of superlatives to describe the experience. It was really great to hear this band play those vintage 1980s King Crimson songs. At the end of the concert, I felt blown away - in all the best aspects of the idiom.

Here's a song from their current tour that they played last night:

Love Levin. Been following him since King Crimson days. He’s been Peter Gabriel’s bassist for as long as I can remember. Check out his “concert photo prints”:

I of course got the print of PG where he’s about to dive backwards into the crowd during “Lay Your Hands on Me”.
Tony signs them, too.

I know some of their session work like on Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” but the one that always sticks out for me is they did the score for Lynch’s “Dune” other than one track. Such bizarre chameleons.
Steve Lukather did most of the guitar work on Michael Jackson’s Thriller Album

Not sure who has seen the 4 part doc on the Hip, but it is, of course, amazing and heartbreaking. Perfect documentary.

I kept meaning to watch this. I like the recent collabs Baby Metal have been doing. Rattata is amazing with Electric Callboy.

This one is good too, thanks for sharing.

Found this Icelandic metal band a few days ago. I've been very impressed. The album has been on repeat in the car.
