My opinion has always been that when you get into the lottery pick area, BPA applies but the tie goes to centers. I don't see a ton of difference between Schaefer, Martone, Hagens, and Misa. So if Buffalo is there, I'm going with Hagens or Misa.

Hagens is more of a 200 foot player, and a gifted passer. He's like a really poor man's Crosby. Misa is more skilled and will score more goals, and his offensive hockey IQ is really high. Buffalo could use either one as a center.
I don't see too much difference between them either, so I'm fine with Hagens or Misa.

With you on tie goes to the center. That said, I guess I'm leaning the opposite direction in my player evaluations:

Schaeffer - All the tools to be an elite 1D.

Hagens - Nothing to add to your description. Wish the size was there.
Misa - Just a hair below Hagens because I think his processor is just a little slower and I believe our less than elite IQ wingers need as much help as they can get.

Martone - For me, the most likely to slide out of the top 4. He can go dark for longer periods that I'm happy with (and work rate is important to me) and I don't believe help on the wing is our most pressing concern. Note: If he played a traditional power forward game I'd be more excited about his fit for the Sabres.
