Why is that ok?

You either buy/sell. Sitting still seems stupid and lazy. (JMO)
Buying or selling for the sake of buying and selling is stupid. If the prices for what you want are too high, it's not a good idea to buy. There's a price to pay if we sell too if we have to ice a worse team, and ruin the locker room atmosphere.

It seems like the priority for Hanifin was going to a state with no income tax.
Like I said a couple of days ago. It’s been Vegas since around World Juniors time frame.. Heard a little Tampa prior to Sergachev’s injury, but pretty much just Vegas…. At least it’s the only team I was hearing. Not sure the taxes have much to do with it.

They were the one team he was constantly connected to him. The thought being, they’d have the 3 big time dmen for the next 2 playoffs, and then let Theodore walk, or move on from Pietrangelo.

One phone call I’m now making if I’m Yzerman?? I’m calling Vegas to see if that is their plan, or if Theodore could be available this summer??

I doubt they’d move him now, but if they don’t win again, might be a good target this summer. For what it’s worth, Theodore has played his off-hand his entire career.

I know you were thinking Hanifin, or similar, was a SY target...given that he is off the table, are you thinking/hearing what direction we might be moving towards?

If you say so.
have you watched him play last year or this year?

He'd be on the team right now over edvinsson right now if we had the space. So if you love edvinsson for who he is right now, then Aljo will just blow your mind.

I would also call vegas to see just how much they want to keep stephanson and if they want a perron reuniting ceremony...

I know. You said you either buy/sell. Context for the first sentence was provided in my post.
Oh, well, Polite of you to assume I don't know the mechanics of the NHL trade market.

I'd pay to attend your class if you gave out lessons.

After discovering that Parayko was RHD, I've kind of moved on from Hanifin pretty quickly.

Still wallowing in that feeling that we're going to get a KH-esque "Kane and Larkin were our TD acquisitions" and then we stand pat. Every year we get ourselves convinced there will be a big trade deadline move and I think our biggest acquisition of the last 17 years has been Brad Stuart.

When is Yzerman gonna pull the trigger? He's buying big or selling big if you ask me. So who is he after? If he isn't gonna buy he isn't gonna stand pat when he can get an absolute HAUL for Kane alone.

Were none of you listening to coach when he said the boldest move would be to not make any moves?

I'm still banking on the "Yzerman doesn't leak anything" and that there is some crazy move for a name that was never on the radar or mentioned as even being available and it drops at a crazy time and out of left field. #dreams

Selling big was never on the table after the last couple months and Kane isn't going anywhere. Prepare to be disappointed.
Never said he was but it was always a rumor that Kane would waive his NTC to goto a contender if the Wings were out. He signed a 1 year deal for 2.75 any contending team could afford him especially if Detroit retained for a bigger return. 3 time cup winner back playing over a PPG for nothing?. Yzerman is all about gaining assets don't see how you think it can't happen..

Like I said a couple of days ago, the name I’ve heard in recent months (the most ) with Detroit, was Justin Faulk, but heard a few days ago, the Blues have decided not to move him now. That the Blues could be up to something else with their D, like moving Krug instead. Not to Detroit btw.

I’d heard for awhile too, that if anyone makes a move on Parayko, it would be Detroit, but to me, that’s a hard trade to make with the 6 years on his contract.. Faulk has 3, and even though he’s not big, he has a mean streak and he definitely can carry that second pairing.

I know they’ve scouted Oleksiak and Justin Schultz too. Once again, I don’t see why Seattle would move Oleksiak.

Heard Chychrun over the last two days, but a lot of the stuff right now is just wild speculation. It came from reputable people though. He does play the right side well, but how much does he help fix their defensive zone issues? Not a lot really. I heard Detroit, Florida, Nashville or Philly. Like I said. I don’t trust much this week.

I’m still trying to figure out why Detroit was scouting Minnesota so much. Maybe it was for Bogosian, but that ship sailed. I can’t see them moving Brodin. I have heard Detroit likes Ryan Hartman since last winter. Or that they want a player like him. DeBrusk is someone I know they’ve scouted a lot.

It’s real hard this week, to get a feel because there’s so many names thrown around. I heard this afternoon that if Vancouver really did flip Lindholm, Detroit could be one of the teams. Speculation though.

Oh, I have heard they’ve scouted Ferraro from SJ quite a few times in recent months.

I don’t see them doing any depth moves.. Have heard Justin Holl could go to Philly if they moved Walker. They did, so let’s see.

I saw the whole thing. She was talking with a handful of other people, trying to sound important by saying that goaltenders are overrated. Then she saw Bench walking towards her. When their eyes met, she realized he had heard every word. Regret flooded her expression, followed by panic. She began to stammer an apology, but it was too late. He needed just three words.

"Get out. Now."

And then everyone clapped.

tragically Bench later went on to find a Goalie mask that had her name inscribed on it

but at that point it was too late, she was already gone

Stephenson would be great. Perfect fit. I just don’t think the Knights can afford to lose him right now. It’s gonna be real tough for them to resign him this summer though.
