Gotta be some contracts shed of course. Husso and Ghost for starters, Holl

The problem is next year, where Ghost doesn't factor in.

Adding Buch/Saros/Parayko essentially ensures Kane is gone and Raymond isn't signed to anything more than a bridge deal.

Think Yzerman took on the salary?

One in 30 chance lol. It'd depend on what he's trying to do.

Given the 3rd party stuff only seems to be returning 5th round picks, I'd say he's farther ahead keeping his two retention slots if he wants to move, say, Fabbri and Ghost. (Yes, I'm on a one tracked mind to move those two)

I actually hope more teams we have to face in the next few weeks get tougher to play against. That makes me feel happy inside.

I don't pay as much attention to the cap and contracts as most around here, but building your team around 23, 22, and 20 year old defenseman sounds like a hockey disaster now and a cap nightmare in the future.

Edit: I did forget that Power already got his big contract, so some of the uncertainty around the future is already answered, but still doesn't sound easy.

Yeah this seems super odd from Buffalos standpoint. I don't see why you deal for Byram if you already have Power and Dahlin. All three of those guys are lefties too. Maybe one of their guys is going to be dealt. Adding more young dmen also seems like a weird choice overall. If anything I feel like that team could really use a good top 4 vet.
