Like I said a couple of days ago, the name I’ve heard in recent months (the most ) with Detroit, was Justin Faulk, but heard a few days ago, the Blues have decided not to move him now. That the Blues could be up to something else with their D, like moving Krug instead. Not to Detroit btw.

I’d heard for awhile too, that if anyone makes a move on Parayko, it would be Detroit, but to me, that’s a hard trade to make with the 6 years on his contract.. Faulk has 3, and even though he’s not big, he has a mean streak and he definitely can carry that second pairing.

I know they’ve scouted Oleksiak and Justin Schultz too. Once again, I don’t see why Seattle would move Oleksiak.

Heard Chychrun over the last two days, but a lot of the stuff right now is just wild speculation. It came from reputable people though. He does play the right side well, but how much does he help fix their defensive zone issues? Not a lot really. I heard Detroit, Florida, Nashville or Philly. Like I said. I don’t trust much this week.

I’m still trying to figure out why Detroit was scouting Minnesota so much. Maybe it was for Bogosian, but that ship sailed. I can’t see them moving Brodin. I have heard Detroit likes Ryan Hartman since last winter. Or that they want a player like him. DeBrusk is someone I know they’ve scouted a lot.

It’s real hard this week, to get a feel because there’s so many names thrown around. I heard this afternoon that if Vancouver really did flip Lindholm, Detroit could be one of the teams. Speculation though.

Oh, I have heard they’ve scouted Ferraro from SJ quite a few times in recent months.

I don’t see them doing any depth moves.. Have heard Justin Holl could go to Philly if they moved Walker. They did, so let’s see.
Always enjoy your posts - thanks!

Wings fan's acting like crack heads waiting for a rock,,, ermm, I mean a blockbuster trade.

The only trades I want to see is yzerman hosing GMs with our bottom paring scrubs and Reimer. I don't want him giving up any young / future assets.
He’s gotta start to use a few prospects to get established players. He have too many D prospects for the realistic amount of spots we are gonna have

They need to fit in the window and ideally have term. Not a ton of logical candidates right now.

Of course. I am certainly not saying use assets for a rental. Has to be a player in that 24-27 year old range (Larkin, Debrincat) age group. Maybe not guys known to be out there but I’m sure theres a lot more out there than the public is aware of

Yeah and I'm sure he'll kick the tires this summer if nothing happens between now and Friday. Just saying that this trade deadline isn't the only opportunity and the environment might not be ideal to pull off that kind of trade.

Absolutely of course. I will say I wouldn’t be opposed to a rental d-man if we are using a couple mid round picks like a 3rd and 5th. Johnson from Buffalo comes to mind

I thought Nashville held on to most of his hit? I could be wrong.

hmm yeah oops I guess they did retain half of it I was just looking at what he was making

$4m still seems a bit high for him at this point but definitely a lot less bad than 8

Ya I’m not doing that with a guy that has a 4 mill contract for next season
Yeah, but if you waived Kostin it'd be like adding 2 million.(And could even waive Johansson the following year).

But, I understand. It's not like a "sweet" move even lol.

Kostin’s cap hit doesn’t fully just go off the books.

Ryan Johansen for Justin Holl would make some sense now that Johansen is a Flyer. They clearly don't want Johansen given that they immediately waived him. Cap dump for cap dump, and saves on needing to retain on Holl for two more years (which would almost certainly be required to entice another team to take on his contract otherwise).
