I fully expect guys like Quinn and Cozens to be potentially traded if KA or a replacement GM wake up, and then for both players to hit a resurgence and reach their potential elsewhere, because that seems to be the common theme with this team.

But regardless this team needs some surgery to shake things up. I highly doubt Kevyn Adams has it in him to do that. But Benson and Dahlin would be my only untouchables, and even with Dahlin, idk. Ruff has shown that the issue isn't just coaching, its the players, and the culture needs to be changed by making hockey trades and moving some of these guys. Make some waves. But a rebuild should not be in the cards, I don't think this fanbase can stomach another one so soon.
I don't trade Dahlin and Benson and trade Tage is also unlikely, given our situation with the centers.

ASSUMING that we aren't on his 10-team list, I don't see how Connor Muprhy isn't a Sabre, like, tomorrow. He's certainly an upgrade on Jokiharju/Bryson etc and I don't think he'd be cost prohibitive.

Maybe also Nick Foligno but I don't know where he fits on the roster.
He's probably not even on Adams radar

Quinn has played himself into a QO.

Peterka might be looking at a bridge.
Super awesome that we heard three years of excuses for not spending to improve the team directly tied to having to pay people that they aren’t going to pay.

Got to be worse then, now and in the future

We need game breaking, top end talent or a roster without flaws that let us win with depth.

Option 1: Get leading players that can win us games
Option 2: Get rid of everyone that isn't good defensively and add a top 4 rhd as well as top 6 center (we will also need UPL to bounce back for this to work)

I'm not optimistic about our chances to fix this within a year so I lean towards option 3:

Recover some assetts by trading some of these players: Tuch, Peterka, Rosén, Greenway, Zucker, Jokiharju, Levi and then aggressively trade for star players (or use them in trades for stars).

Hopefully we can enter 2025/2026 with a legit center spine, top 4 d and starting goalie.

I'd be interested in Teräväinen for the bottom 6 as well. He's cap dump level but I think he could be a good fit.

Krebs+Lafferty+Jokiharju+2025 2nd

Gives them a project, saves them cap space and delivers a decent pick.

We'd still need two blockbusters but the bottom pairing and bottom 6 would be ok at least.
