Will be an interesting day. I'd expect a bunch of pots and pans deals to start scurrying through earlier in the day.
Some surprises will be:
What ANA gets for Derek Grant.
NJ haul for Sami Vatenen.
BUF sell-off ends up being below market value.
In Ranger news my hopes are for the following:
Kreider, Fast and McKegg are all moved out.
Incoming picks are a 1st, 2nd, conditional 3rd, and a 6th.
Incoming prospects/players are: 20-23 year old forward who can step in now with top 9 upside, a B+ prospect, and a 20-24 year old year old 4th line asset.
Ideally you get the following:
Kreider to COL for Kaut, Bowers, 1st, and a conditional 3rd that becomes a 2nd if COL makes the finals, and a 1st next year if they re-sign Kreider. This only happens if there is a bidding war for Chris.
Fast to Philly for Twarynski and a 2nd.
McKegg to EDM for a 6th.
If the Rangers go .660 the rest of the way, they can make the playoffs. I would prefer a lottery pick this year, but with Shesterkin, you can't discount the possibility.
