We're currently 7th last with 42 points, and only 6 ahead of the Devils who are 2nd last with 36 points. Detroit is in a whole different unreachable abyss with 23 points.

Who are the guys we look at this year in the top 10? I think we need to focus on top centers. Obviously Byfield is a dream, but outside of him? Perfetti? Stutzle? Lundell? Rossi?

It'll only get worse once we sell off Kreider, Strome, etc. at the deadline. It's an inevitability and it's never too early to talk about who we would want at our current spot in the draft.

I still have hope they keep one of those guys and re-sign here. But if they are both gone, then yeah, tank away, since both those players have excellent chemistry with our two top players.

I would trade the pick for a good young forward, I am not too confident with our scouting department. We need physical forwards and they almost never draft that.

Yeah we need to go offense badly!

I'd have to watch some more Perfetti, because that foursome is so close. All I know is Rossi is a two-way smart beast. Stützle is pure high end offense. Lundell is also a two-way beast, bigger than Rossi, not sure if that much slower.

they’re closer to NJ than they are a playoff spot. They have like a 5% chance at the playoffs.

dunno where they will slot into the lottery before the drawing but the playoffs are a pipe dream.

Agreed they are not making the playoffs but its more like 12-15 percent chance right now. Just like last year no way NJ finishes with more points than us but we will most likely be bottom 10 cause of all the teams grouped so close together (minus Detroit)

Agree 100000 percent but you know that won't happen. We desperately need to start building lots of depth at the prospect forward position. With Lias gone and who knows what becomes of VK we need to start drafting heavy on forward prospects.

The chart thingy the athletic has put the rangers at 5%, at least that was it was the last time I saw it.

We aren't on the level of Det/NJ and almost for sure not LA/ANA either. There are like a dozen teams in that next grouping or just outside of it though and thats where the Rangers live.
