Not sure if news has spread through this part yet, but the prospect side of Hockey's Future (AKA the writing side) will cease operations as of July 1st.

Personally I just wanted to thank you guys for being a wonderfully interactive group when it comes to feedback and opinions. You were definitely a fun and rewarding audience to write for. Kept me coming back to do it year after year. The boards will continue to operate so I will definitely be around still, just not writing.

While I have yet to really commit to any singular idea, I plan on doing something to keep people updated on Kings prospects since it is a fairly important part of the organization (Perhaps with a little more accuracy than the streamlined style grading system used here). You can also always follow me on twitter (@SirJDL) and at Hockeybuzz for Kings stuff, although less prospect oriented obviously. Don't worry though, that's still a major area for me, ya know, aside from geeky spread sheets and stats and stuff of course. (Do I even watch the games?)

Anyways, again, thank you guys for being a great and supportive group over the years!

Oh wow, that's interesting news. So will the site just be HFBoards? What becomes of the main site, hockeysfuture.com? Guessing it'll just redirect to these boards if the writing side is eliminated.

With that said, thanks for all your hard work Jason, your coverage of the prospects in Ontario was greatly appreciated and look forward to seeing more of your insights into rookie camp once that comes around (I think in July).
