Wow.

Where and when was this game played? Did both sides use their full lineups?

This is a good result for Italy. The Latvians are a pretty underrated team, as they gave Canada quite a bit of trouble at the Worlds last Spring.

It's just ended my friend. Pls take me an half on hour and I post the summary. ;)

I bet all of Canada can feel the fear of losing the first game against Italy!!!

Yes, Canada must fear losing to the hockey powerhouse known as Team Italy :sarcasm:

In all seriousness, many expect a blowout by Canada, similar to the Women's thumping of Italy, but remember, this Canadian team will have had at most 1 or 2 practices before this game, and as such team chemistry won't be there. For sure, Canada will win, but I predict somewhere like 5-0 or 6-0.

Canada will still put the boots to Italy.

What is Italy's answer to Dany Heatley? Or Brad Richards?

They don't have answers to those 2 players. Thus, they will get hammered.

Its a good thing you are around to clear that up for the uninitiated.

Lorenzo and Fontanive aren't on the original rosters for Italy. Are they playing in the Tourney?

They are replacing Borgatello and Scandella injured, but this is not official for the OG. We're waiting !

Naumovs had a bad day, thats first. We are still waiting for Skrastins and Ozolinsh, thats secon. And as i heard a rewievs, Latvia underestimated Italy and played very loose. Anyway, with Irba in the net from the start, our 2 NHLrs and properly made lineups we can make an upset and why not in the first game against USA.
