Swayman doesn't inspire confidence in the net right now. There should only be one goal on the board no matter the team effort. I think this is going to be Daccord's net moving forward.

Werenski made up for that bad take with a great rush and in zone pressure. Need to bury those
Good lord. Terrible. Swayman can't bail out and make a save and just a terrible bounce and giveaway by Vlasic
4 goals on 14 shots. There is no excuse for this. Goaltending kills us time and time again. We have enough issues as is, Swayman looks like Hellebuyck on the road in the playoffs.
Sometimes when I miss sarcasm I joke that I need to replace the batteries in my sarcasm detector.
That post did the opposite, which means I think my sarcasm detector just got short circuited.
I don't know what I just watched there. Werenski just let him skate right to the net. Nobody else came to close the gap. This team simply has no chemistry with each other. Nobody knows where they should be. Werenski playing his off side looks rough in the d zone
It was 5-1. 5-1...the team went to lax mode and Swayman couldn't make a save on the few shots he saw. Not a good combo
Awful effort. I'll take the 2 points but we should have gotten 3.

Just send the whole team home already because they are going to be smashed against Canada or Sweden in the quarters. No chance whatsoever.
Warsofsky is a completely wrong guy to lead this team. Zero experience from international hockey.
Unfortunate reality is also that Herning is not a right place for this tournament. Empty stands in every game expect when Denmark is playing. It's World Championships after all. IIHF should do a better job. The contrast is quite huge when compared to the Czech Republic last year.

The team went up 5-1 and started to coast. This happens all the time. With all the top teams. We have watched it for years as well with other US teams here. It's inevitable that it will happen as guys just want to get through the game healthy and pad some stats. The problem only got worse when your goalie couldn't stop a beach ball. Haven't seen a shit performance like that in a long time. Yes some of the chances were solid, but there is simply no way he should have let in 5 goals on barely 16 shots. I could say 2 goals were solid goals that a lot of goalies would have had trouble with. But outside of that, Swayman was terrible. He can't get the net back unless it's a game to give Daccord a breather.
Coaching is again another downfall of ours. Coaching and goaltending typically kill us at this tournament. Both as of now seem to be below par, Daccord has been better but not stellar. The team isn't aggressive enough on the fore check, watching players skate by them. Not really blocking shots..very little body work trying to out muscle your opponent. I don't know what our system even is here. The players obviously don't either.

So assuming they don't completely turn things around, does USA hockey consider Carle to coach next year? Or do they insist on it being an NHL coach?
