That would be nice lineup to see play. Drury did a good job getting some players to go last time there was a WC. Hoping for the same or better commitments.

Larkin and Nelson usually answer the call. Per the usual injury, off-season surgery plus RFA/UFA status will play a factor.

that's the kicker right there. There were 6 players I had originally but then checked their contractual status and replaced them.

Still a decent lookin team that could do some damage...like most WHC teams, it comes down to motivation.

Ryan Lasch.

You are too obsessed with this name. It does not fit into the style of Americans in recent years, it is not very physical and it is not worthwhile for the coach to keep it only in a special team. I like him, if I have time, I follow Frölund primarily in SHL, but I still don't think he should go to the Olympics or the tournament in Tampere in May. America simply has better strikers than Lasch even though it leads the SHL scoring.

Where is captain AMERICA mr. Patrick Kane ?

He certainly has a spot on Larkin's RW if he wants to play another tournament, but most A-team players (American/Canadian) are more likely to take a pass on the WHC. Would be great if he accepted the invite. Would be great if Crosby gave Canadian fans one more WHC thrill as well...same class of player/age... more or less... as Kane, but unfortunately I don't see it happening. I always tend to defer more towards the younger B-C team type of player with a peppering of NCAA players. That's traditionally the make-up of a USA WHC team.

The lack of creativity in trying to develop our coaching pool with these opportunities astounds me. Give an NCAA coach the opportunity. Quinn is a retread and not a good one.

With Vegas faltering, we might be adding Eichel to a potential Team UAS WHC roster soon.

I think you play Hughes and Zegras together and put a shooting power forward with them.

What are the chances we see Hughes^3 at this tournament?

I'd imagine Sanderson gets the nod as the one non-professional defender, but would Luke be the runner up there?

I'd be surprised if he didn't receive an offer, even if the main purpose is to entice Jack and Quinn.

I think these 8 players most likely will play for your team

Larkin from Red Wings
Barzal and Lee from Isles
DeBrincat, Kane and Jones from Hawks
Zegras and Terry from Ducks

Lee is excellent PP front net guy
who is clutch in key situations.
- has lots experience from USA hockey at worlds

Foolish not to pick both Zegras AND Terry

Every international tournament team
needs a player like Barzal

Brinksy, Kaner, Larkin and Jonesy are locks tbh

DeBrincat-Larkin-Kane as the 1st line

Zegras & Terry duo + Barzal & Lee duo
in the 2nd and 3rd lines, either way is fine

Connor, Keller, Schmaltz somewhere in the mix

Barzal is Canadian, George.

Barzal is Canadian, George.

funny.

You could forgive that gaff if he were a dual citizen born in the States, was 18 or 19 years old and had yet to play an international game for either side...but come on, a quick one second google search can give you all the answers.
