Team US/Canada?

I read this dinger of a post today

It's better to combine Sweden and Finland in one team as Sweden. Finland used to be Sweden for 700 years before they were captured by Russia. And Czechia and Slovakia as Czechoslovakia.

So Canadian superteam would have some competition. Otherwise it's too boring to watch McDavid, Bedard, MacKinnon to run the score to 6-0 in the first period.

And I couldn't help but think what a Team US/Canada superteam would look like. Specifically things like who'd be the 1C, which elite D get cut. I'll go on a limb and say all 3 goalies are US so they are already in the lead.

It's something along those lines. The goaltending situation is very sad. From one perspective at least.

As an Oiler fan.. thrilled to see hyman. However, he wasn't even a guy I considered for the consolidated roster. Not saying you are wrong though.

Only 1 puck and Team Euro would be stacked too!

Pasta, Ranatanan, Nylander, Bratt, Nyqvist, Barkov, Aho, Pettersson, Fiala, Raymond, Zbinejad, Kopitar, Stutzl all had over 70 points last year.


D with Josi, Hedman, Dahlin, Karlsson, Heiskanen, Ekholm, Forsling and Seider

G with Ullmark, Saros and Markstrom

Depending on your views for Russian inclusion and then you include Kaprizov, Kucherov, Panarin, Ovi Malkin, Svechnikov, Shesterkin, Sorokin and Vasilevsky

And I'm positive I'm missing several players.

It would be close. In no world is that team a pushover. Hell, the last world cup saw a team of Euro's not from Czech, Swedan, Finland and Russia make it to the finals.
