Half the team looks quite good, the rest is pretty meh. I don't see what Lias has done to be on the team. There are plenty of players better than him. DLR, Larsson, Norman, Everberg and Klingberg could be replaced by pretty much anyone. Sad to see Fjällby being cut.

I wonder who these players are? Seen him playing in two exhibition matches vs. Denmark, and he was pretty much the best guy on the ice. He'll be great fun to watch in Copenhagen.

Hellberg is my starter too. I would give him the first two games which includes a game against the Czechs. Nilsson can go the day after against France and then take it from there.

It's really hard to say who the 3C is gonna be.

Ideally I would move Janmark out of the top 6 place Nyquist to the left and have Pettersson to the right, because I don’t think Pettersson is going to be very successfull on that particular line, and I think Janmark can be successfull on just about any line. A jack of all trades if you will.

Forsberg can do a little bit more out of nothing and he's more proven at the Interrnational level(Karlsson was on the team last year, but not as a very important player).

Would take both Hörnqvist and Hagelin on the current team but it depends on the other series in that case. 0-1 players from this series.

NSH/WPG: Ekholm, Forsberg, Arvidsson, Järnkrok / Enström. Yeah the first three are must-additions and the chances of getting at least two should be pretty good. Järnkrok would be a very good 4C option if he's the last chance to get a new player but that's about it. Enström is not what he once was and is probably the first player to retire from the NT at age 25, he could've literally been on this team for six or seven of the last eight years and didn't once show up. 0-3 players from this series.

Vegas/SJ: Karlsson, Lindberg / Karlsson. William would be a 90% go I feel like, Melker like Järnkrok is a 4C last call option. Lindberg has actually been on both of the gold medal teams lately, but is benched right now and won't be invited this time. 0-1 player from this series.

TB/BOS: Hedman, Strålman. Only Hedman is kinda needed considering we have five good NHL guys already, but would take both of course. I don't expect either however, similar to Bäckström. 0 players from this series.

Krüger was most likely not invited as he ended the season in the AHL, Carolina signed him and expected him to deliver offense for them, their PK stats got much better instead, so he got the boot to the AHL.

As I said Karlsson would be a great addition but he wouldn’t be the same edge as Forsberg, Bäckström or Rakell which is what the team needs IMO. I don’t doubt that he has taken great leaps this season but I wouldn’t count on him being able to sustain a SH% of 23. With a high but still somewhat reasonable SH% of 12 his 184 shots would translate to 20 goals instead of 43. Which would give him roughly 55 points which is still a great improvement(would put him in Arvidsson territory). If he hits 70 again I’ll gladly eat crow but I don’t think he has made the leap from a 25 point player to a borderline elite #1 center as a 24-25 year old. However I haven’t watched a ton of vegas games this year, so my pov is just an amateurs stat-watching really.

On Janmark maybe not, but he will still be very valuable as a secondary scoring option. Elias is not going to be a secondary scoring threat, he needs to play with creative players.

I think the team looks very interesting. I'm however not sold on the Zibanejad, Backlund, Kempe and Janmark as offensive catalysts for this team, think Grönborg is going to rely on them pretty hard 5 on 5 and on the PP. Rakell is really our most important player and the only game breaking forward we have on this team, building a good top line around him will be key. Pettersson showed glimpses of brilliance this weekend and may break out in a big way but I wouldn't count on it, especially when the games get really tight. Defense looks great obviously and we usually get good goaltending at the WC.

pääjärvi has hidden offensive potential, he is natural more skilled than janmark/kempe.....let give him the chance on top 6 and see what happens .
