Not saying he's a bad player, but how does Willie Nylander with his 20 something NHL games fit into a snubbed players category? He's not the same as a Matthews, Laine, McDavid, or Eichel level player starting his NHL career. If we include him on a list like this, then we should probably also include Ehlers, Fabbri, Bennett, and Reinhart from the same draft.

i think nylander just had a better chance to make team sweden, the reinhart, bennet and fabri did team u23, also added ehlers in. Like i said i was going for diversity, ehlers would have represented team europe, goose and willy team sweden ect...

Gotcha, just wasn't sure whether Swedens lineup had openings, haven't looked at it recently. I just know their defense was stacked.

I will probably never get this logic, why is that negative? Is it bad to be a good puck mover, in what aspect of the game is it bad to be a good puck mover? Plus most of the none puck movers in NHL would have been puck movers at lower level. if you can fill the team with elite pucker movers you off course do that.

Yeah OP is probably a Leafs fan. Zetterberg, Rackell, Johansson, Zibanejad are all bigger snubs than Nylander.

Also, I'd put Mark Stone instead of Gallagher.

I can tell you're a Stars fan, seeing how you have Lehtonen as the backup, Spezza on the top line and Klingberg on the top pair (while moving Letang and Subban to their off sides)

It's the obsession with intangibles. If they aren't known for their defensive play then clearly they're bad at defense and sacrifice it in favor of offense
