Last spot for voting- 7th defenseman. Then we'll do a captaincy vote and discussion.

Below are the NYR player stats for the decade... (Note, the second half of the 09-10 season is not included in these stats, unfortunately)

For me, DeAngelo has been a better player in his Rangers career than Skjei. Skjei has been around longer, but I don't feel he's been particularly good the last 2 seasons. So in reality, the additional games played doesn't really help his cause. It should actually hurt it. I will note Skjei has been a bit better this year, but DeAngelo has brought a different level in his time here. He's also been here for over 120 games, so it's nothing to sneeze at.

Yandle on the team is a joke, lots of selective memory and what could have been going on around here.

As folks know, I have my reservations about Tony's defensive game, and believe that he will *eventually* wind up on another team... but I had to go with him here based on talent and how he's performed over his last ~82 games extending through last year plus Skjei's unfortunate continued stagnation after his superb rookie year.

As the one guy always defending Skjei and saying he’s the most over-hated player on our team I’m surprised how many votes he’s getting here. I think it’s DeAngelo without a doubt.

gotta be honest...considering how successful we were for the majority of the decade this isn't an overly impressive lineup. especially when you consider that yandle and stralman were picked based on the 'what if' had we kept them not so much what they actually did as rangers...lots of good memories tied to a number of those names but my first thought is #HankisGod

If that team of the decade all played together in the prime years they had. Watch the **** out.
I don't think it is that great on paper.

Our teams really over-performed relative to talent this past decade because of Lundqvist.

The front office failed to build a winner around him.
