I went Callahan. 4 and a half seasons to MSL's one and a half, far more points than Fast despite playing in many fewer games. All told I think a bigger impact on the team this decade than anyone else left on the list. Also a captain.

Callahan and it's a 10 second 1st round KO.

He gave us countless years of fantastic memories and great play. He was one of the driving forces that elevated this team to a contender before his body started failing him. He also was out of his goddamn mind with his contract demands at the end and I still am stunned that TB was stupid enough to give him what they did.

Just like I was stunned by what Boston gave up for Nash. Just like I was stunned by us jettisoning Stralman and picking up Boyle's corpse. Oh and Arizona giving up all that for Stepan on THAT contract LOL

I swear these GMs dont even bother scouting half these guys, they just see the name

2 on 1 Dubinski...2 on NONE!!! (Still THE most one sided bullshit reffing I've ever seen where the victimized team still came back and won. Ooooh and to do it the way we did with the Staal shorty on the PK with less than a minute left? Then the 2 on none? Against PITTSBURGH? "How's the pie?"...."So good...")
4 goals against Philly.
Keeping the play alive with 6.6 left for Beaver
1 million blocks.
So much good shit.

Callahan of course. No one should be bitter for what he did when he played here. That Boston game, which proud to say was at, him blocking a Chara shot, played through a broken ankle to help get his team in the playoffs. The whole contract stalemate has happened to many players, and will happen this season with Kreider. It was best he moved on as much as I hated it. But I look back now and see it was the right move for both parties.

My favorite part of that by far is that I think it was a couple months later they did exactly that again

I missed that you had already brought it up, but now we have the video of the legendary call in the thread at least.
