Since when Pesonen and J.Sallinen are centers? Hopefully the pick some natural centers too for the final team.
It looks like the centers in the final team will be Granlund, Aho, Suomela, Niemi and then perhaps Lajunen or Sandell.

Has Marjamäki now already announced the final roster and is Toni Rajala no more in the team?

Only played 2 games as 7th defenseman with limited minutes. Didn't look out of place but seems very unlikely he would make it.
Saying he was simply a "7th d-man with limited minutes" is a bit misleading, since he was regular part of the rotation and still clocked around 15 minutes in both games. However, he appeared to be the only d-man who was not part of any special teams.

He didn't do bad, was mostly mistake-free, but also didn't really do anything that would have made him stand apart. Well, if I have to say something, I noticed he seemed quite apt at relieving the d-zone pressure. Most of our other d-man sometimes had overly long shifts when they were chasing Swedish attackers in the corners, but that hardly occured when Juolevi was on the ice. Whenever he got a hold of the puck, he was able to clear it cleanly out of the zone despite the aggressive forechecking.

I must say though, rarely does a player make the cut because of this kind of minutia - and I don't really have him making it here either. But sometimes coaches can place value on surprising things.

I thought that Aho looked really good today. I would say that it was more obvious that Carolina hasn't played in awhile when you looked at TT. However he is always a solid playmaker but I guess Aho's lowest level is higher than TT's. It'll be interesting to see whether Savinainen will stay in their company.

My first thought was that Savinainen was acting as a placeholder to another, a few magnitudes better offensive power forward.

Of course, Brother-Matt will still make the cut even if he won't stick to the line. And even if I really want to see 88 NHL points complementing the Carolina duo, Claywoman really wasn't a bad fit to them either, so him staying in their company would give Marjamäki a chance to spread the wealth a little.

Will they Let Space for Rinne,Saros tolvanen or Armia and Laine?

They are still waiting for PO round 2 results yes. I doubt that they keep too many spots open though. Maybe 2 spots, max 3 is my guess.

One from Vegas-San Jose series. Donskoi or Haula.

Two from Nashville-Winnipeg. The ones you mentioned and Niku. Manitoba @Grand Rapid Griffins deciding game 5 is played tomorrow.

I'm guessing they start by accrediting 2+7+12, leaving room for one goalie and three skaters. If any forwards get sidelined, they can afford to spend one slot by adding from the present crop and still have room for two more.

Methinks though their eyes are mainly on a NSH goalie and any forwards from the same series, plus Donskoi/Haula. Niku may not be on their radar, since we're not short of lefty puckmovers and his profile is not (yet) notably higher than those we already have. And even if he was somewhat better than someone we already have, in principle, he'd still be a newcomer to the system.

Since when did "summer training" become a reason to not participate? It is getting more and more ridiculous. Granlund is a player in the best age, there is no particular reason why he would need more summer training than McDavid. And based on previous tournaments, I'm optimistic he will join.
Because the training and NHL is his job and the most important part. But it's okay that he joined the team, hopefully he won't get injured.

Whatever he considers to be the most important part is the most important part.

Pretty much sick (that in a good way remember!) that Finland won the EHT-tour - and that pretty easy this year.

Considering the line-up they (Finland) pulled up with in most of the games.
Pretty unfamiliar names and compadres like: Riikola, Vaakanainen, Jokiharju and Suomela and the lot were staples of the team.

And we evil Finland bastards still jump/stamp on Marjamäkis poor face!

Maybe about time to turn a new leaf - and give him some cred ...

Couple of surprises. Mikkola is one for defense, kinda - I mean, he was the next most prominent player for the stay-at-home role after Kukkonen and Ohtamaa dropped out of contention and Hakanpää wasn't healthy enough to play.

And for forwards - Mäenalanen. Wow. I mean, he was great in the finals, but I bet this still blindsided pretty much everybody. Pretty interesting to see what kind of role Marjamäki is thinking for him. Knowing his history, he could technically even complement the Carolina duo. He's played with Aho in Kärpät was the leading scorer from Teuvo's passes in the 2014 WJC.
