WC: Team Canada Roster

which teams do not have a final press conference ? Or which teams doesn t named nobody to go to worlds?
 
troubling indeed. This is trending towards what a Canadian WHC team looks like after a NHL Olympics just concluded. and looking at the 2010 roster, that may be the comparable. 1 A team player with a few veteran roster fill ins and a whole lot of youngsters.

if the next 4 forwards and 4 d-men are not significant mix of A and B team players, then there'll be no 4th. consecutive Gold Medal Game in our future. Unless McDavid goes absolutely bonkers and owns the tournament. I'm sure he'll do well, but I'm not holding my breath for bonkers.

perhaps waiting for 1st. rd. exits before adding those players would be a good idea.
 
Honestly, I don't get the worry about who's on Team Canada. It's a nothing tournament. Except for a few veteran guys, I want the team full of "2nd rate" players for Canada. If you have played in the Olympics / World Cup (and most likely the WJC), then you've done your part for the program. Let's get others a chance to wear the colours. Give these other guys a chance to put their name on the radar for Team Canada for the next World Cup.

People really only care this year since there was no olympics with NHL players.

Yeah? Couldn't find more opposite players in terms of work ethic and attitude. Pageau is very fast has a nack for scoring big goals while elevating his play in big games and is great pk player. Anytime he has been given top 6 icetime his production was on par or better than both Zibanejad and Brassard. He is used in a shut down role but will produce if given the opportunity.

Obviously they are looking for someone in that role as they didn't ask Hoffman. Who has been better than Drouin and plays the same position.
 
People are forgetting that Eberle had great chemistry with RNH. They should be paired togheter with McDavid as a center.

We will just have to keep our fingers crossed and wait and see I guess, sure hope he plays, he was quite a big part of our team and played real well last time he went.

well, that's positive, I think. Panthers coach will be an assistant for TC, so if he influences in Huberdeau/Matheson getting an invite, that would be even better.
