Nurse is also a RFA. so, unlikely.

my Prague Powerhouse rests on the shoulders of McDavid. It will be extremely disappointing if he decides to take a pass. Klefbom should learn to keep quiet when speaking about Canadian players and this tournament.
Fair point, though I wonder if he goes to cement his "claim" at the money he's looking for in a long term deal.

McDavid is the most competitive player I've ever really seen, unless he's banged up I would think he goes.

Chabot is a good addition, promising your defenceman who can skate and contribute on a low pairing. Getting a legitimate number one is the big concern though.

I like it. Had him on my roster ever since the Sens fell out of the TOP 8 sometime back in Nov. no higher than a 3rd. pairing though. preferably he's a #7. which means we have a pretty decent top 6.

I hope Canadian D-line will be looks some like that )

Giordano-Hamilton
Pietrangelo(Barrie)-Ekblad
Vlasic- Burns
Pullok
scratch
Chabot

also good news out of Team USA invites. Larkin RFA has accepted an invite. I hope that it inspires Mantha RFA to consider it as well. I would have to think a player like Mantha would be in the running.

That is good for USA, Larkin was quite good for Detroit in the last few months. I would like to see USA do well at this tournament for a few reasons. Mantha would be an ideal fourth line winger, but who knows. If he follows Reinhart's example it won't be shocking, but if he accepts then good for him.

Can I get some roster news holy. Roster news, seems a lot slower than usual for most Countries or maybe I'm just being impatient.

McDavid sounded like he was trying to be Mr. Captain and not talk about other hockey before Oilers are done and it seems to have sparked a trend.

I hope Beauvillier will receive an invitation too and he will be the perfect player to complete the line with Barzal and Eberle since they already have very good chemistry together. Beauvillier has 17 goals in his last 39 games.

The 4th line should be: O Dell - Lapierre - Klinkhamer

They where fantastic in Olympics.

This team could need some physciality.

Having 3 scoring lines is enough firepower. That olympic 4th line would give something special to the team.

No way

whats the point with having skilled star players on the 4th line playing 5 minutes a game? give those minutes to o dell, lapierre and klinhamer and let them hit the **** out of everyone.

I totally like the idea to have these hard workers on the team, particularly O'Dell. Bores me to death, when solely NHL superstars and key players in the making get selected.

end of season roster.

COL, TML, CBJ (although I wouldn't be surprised if they take out the CAPS) and PIT are the late additions. Yes, Philly takes out PIT, but we shouldn't hold our breath for Sid this time, as he takes a well deserved full summer off; but Murray gets his 1st. crack at the senior team. Nobody else on PIT is of any interest as far as Team Canada is concerned.

Mantha is RFA - so, unlikely, but maybe....

I honestly don't think we will be seeing Ekblad at this thing again for a long time or maybe ever with his concussion history, I doubt he is putting his body/career on the line for anything other then his N.H.L team or a best on best tournament for Canada at this point, the skodas I think will be seen by him and his management team as simply not worth any extra risk.

The only problem with that is that the reffing at this thing over in europe rarely allows Canadian teams to hit the shit out of everyone.................they will spend a lot of time in the penalty box, hardly conducive to success.

Better off going with as much skill/talent as you can get at this thing and coming at them in waves with 4 real skilled lines, I think that is the best recipe for success at any level international tournament these days, the days of having grind lines seems to have flown right now.

not true, the refs allowed that line in olympics to hit-anything-that moves.

The skodas are different then the olympics, it's an old school boys club mentality at that thing, very much a "euros only" mindset there, their little private party. Canada has a reputation with fans and the refs are affected by it, we still get called if we play aggressively over there even to this day.

As Canada, you have to go into every game assuming you are one goal down to start the game when playing the good european teams at the WHC, just the way it is.

Canada is still very much outsiders at this thing.

I think that guy is trolling anyway, but it's a waste of time for Canada to bring NHL fourth line types to this tournament. Use the tournament for developing young guys. That should be the main focus. Even if Rob Klinkhammer was guaranteed to score 20 goals at the tournament I wouldn't want him as his usefulness to Canada in future tournament that actually have meaning (hopefully there will be some) is zero.

Canada is going to steamroll this tournament for sure. It's going to be embarassing to watch Marjamäki's Finland play against this team. If those line up predictions become true that offense has to be one of the if not the most skilled in the history of the WC.

But nhl-grinders can be good option? Guys like Sizikas or Martin
