Team Canada B team for the next World cup

The best for the World Cup would be to make it a US vs Canada thing. Bring 4 Canadian teams, 4 US teams, everyone over there is happy. Oh also change the name to something like America's Hockey Cup. It would be most relevant to the supposed audience (= North America).

I'm from Chicago. But, also happen to love hockey and want to see the most competitive best on best tournament possible.

No one outside of HF wants to see teams like Switzerland and Germany in these tournaments.

I think this situation compares very neatly to the norweigan domination of skiing as has been stated. It is already hurtful to the sport to see such domination from one nation. To have two Canada teams would certainly kill off interest in european countries. Having say the czechs losing 0-5 to Canada B is just bad optics.

Also the rivalry between Canada A and B would be rather lackluster if you don't go by geographical division, like Canada East vs Canada West.

I got used here that people are evaluating teams after three minutes of the game, but lets wait with that czech prediction till next WC is comming. We lost 0:6 but that does not mean it will happen again, especially against some B team. After all Finnland and USA are behind us...

yep. If there's bad WC tv ratings in the US, it would've made no difference with Slovakia and Switzerland whatsoever, yet people here seem to like to believe otherwise.
