Was really close. Big fan of Brink and Beecher, but went with Harley.

He moves so well for a big guy. What's more, he generates a lot of high danger chances for (by my eye test).

For me, between Harley, Tomasino, Hoglander and Brink. I went with Harley, as he is 17 (aug birthday) and one of the younger players in the draft. 6'3" 185 and will be growing 2 more years. and may be 6'4" to 6'5" / 205-210 by the time he goes pro. He's on the rise and was named top scholastic player of the year, is #11 overall in Central Scouting (ahead of Tomasino, Newhook! , Cam York, Brink and Suzuki. 58 pts in 68 games as a 17 yr old defenseman in the OHL is impressive.

Steelheads’ Thomas Harley named OHL Scholastic Player of the Year – Ontario Hockey League

also been called an elite skater:

In the OHL’s Coaches Poll for the 2018-19 season Harley was represented in numerous categories, including finishing second in the Smartest Player and Best Skater categories for the East, while finishing first as the Most Improved Player and the Best Offensive Defenseman.

Thomas Harley – 2019 NHL Draft Prospect Profile

I do not think Harley lasts until 22. I would actually trade up to draft him...if the Kings got Turcotte and Harley, I will celebrate for weeks....he may be the best defenseman after Byram - better than Broberg, Soderstrom, York.

Moverare was on SHL Champs Frolunda and had a very good playoffs...signed and loaned to Frolunda.
Improved his conditioning and is a better player, than when he went to Sweden. Don't count him out...

I went with Harley. With his size (6-3, around 185 lbs) and skating ability he looks like the BPA to me in terms of future potential. If you have a defenseman that will likely end up being 6-4 and 205 lbs that can skate with good hockey sense, you have the opportunity to have a special player.

This is an interesting position, were they to get Byram at #5, I would think they would be more inclined to go with a forward. For the purposes of this mock, I went with Harley.

Voted Harley. He's BPA.

Harley is the youngest 1st round rated prospect which makes what he's done up to this point that much more impressive.

Seems like some good options here at 22. I don't know enough about most the kids on the list, just the OHL ones I have a pretty decent knowledge of. If it came down to picking a kid from the O, I would go..

1. Thomas Harley, D, Mississagua (OHL)
2. Philip Tomasino, C, Niagra (OHL)
3. Nicholas Robertson, LW, Peterborough (OHL)
4. Connor McMichael, C, (London OHL)

It was between Harley and Brink for me. Went with Harley because I think we have good enough offensive talent in the pipeline now especially if by some miracle we get Turcotte or any forward at 5. If Byram drops to us then I would go with Brink here. I'd be happy with getting at least a forward and a defenseman with these picks, but wouldn't be upset with getting 2 forwards.

Size matters, regardless of what the "let's get small!" liberals say. So I went with Leason. Beecher would be nice, too. That Lavoie was taken @ #21 with this particular mock gives me hope that we could possibly get him @ 22.

Going with the Bobby Brink for the unscientific method of "sounds like a hockey name," like Brock Boeser. Just sounds like a guy who will have goal scoring success int he league.

Byram or Turcotte and then either Seider,Soderstrom,Broberg or Poulin with either N Foote or K Korczak in the 2nd round! Just as long as we get 2 D-men in the 3 picks! Like to see a top heavy R-Defensive draft with the occasional forward!
