Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates

I'm not a Hofer fan, but Hofer, Lebler, and Thomas Raffl are simply better right now, and we need centers.

Oh goodness. I don't remember all of it. Basically, he got snubbed at a few tournaments. Then he snubbed the federation at a few tournaments. There may be more, I see it being discussed on the feed and I generally look the other way. He is not an indispensable character for the team moving forward.
I hope so, too. U20 staying in the second divison (which is Top-16) is engouraging. A pity that U18 missed out promotion that close. And there is Rossi. 
The U20 result was embarrassing. It was a weak class so we saw it coming, but we should be in contention for promotion every year. I think next year may come down to us and Germany if the coaches work it right.

Relegation will probably a 3-teams battle between Austria, Belarus and France (though I don't know the real level of Slovakia).

Oh, that's another long feud. Plane tickets mostly.
There was a quote from Ray Ferraro in the Swiss-Canada game that perfectly encapsulates my concerns with our team.
"The one thing about the Swiss, they generally skate pretty well, they just don't possess a lot of creativity."
Our Team boss and sport director is Swiss. I would say that this problem is significantly worse for us than it is even for the Swiss. I want to believe we can stay up, but I'm not optimistic this year. Simply put, Austrian hockey loves stupid players. If a player is smart, good hands, good vision, good system player, we will trash him. If he's just a small fast goon who loves to chase the puck, automatic favorite.
The hope is that the next time up we will have what it takes. That's the hope at least.
